I've ridden a lot of Ebikes and owned 5 different ones. I've had my X-class for over a year now. Recently bought a Spark Cycleworks Bandit which I love, but for the money the X-Class is the better bike. I have a couple friends who prefer my X-Class to my Bandit. It's a tough call for me. I've done a lot of mods to my X-Class over the year. I'm now running Shinko 244's, 450 pound rear spring, 7 inch stem riser, custom JB seat, swept back handle bars with custom grips, 60 tooth chain sprocket, and the new Jack Cecil controller and display, so mine is pretty modded out. I turned a friend on to them. She has four different ebikes and her X-Class is her favorite.
@MrCentralDriver Жыл бұрын
Yeah it’s hard comparing once you have done so many modifications to a bike. I prefer the spark bandit because the power and the space you have with the long seat. But I love my super73 rx overall because it has so many mods that make it that much better

Ariel Riders are such awesome e-bikes. Some of the lowest prices with the most power e-bikes out there. NO, e-bike should even bother coming on the market in volts less than 52. Anything less is a waste of money. I mean the Super-73 RX is 48v out of the box. And only hits 30 mph or so. And cost almost $2000 more. Unbelievable. I was able to get 38 mph on my x-class before I modified it with NB Power 5000 watt set up.

AR X-Class 52v is an excellent e-bike, ample power, lots of torque, feels solid, good for shorter riders, especially step-thru model, can ride 2 people. Display is adequate but display on Kepler would've been nice on the X-class. The fenders are inadequate. You WILL get water/mud on your butt/back if you ride over water/mud. Wish AR would replace fenders with sufficient coverage. Pedaling X-class is a bit awkward but glad the gears/shifter/derailleur are included anyway. BMX handlebars are sweet. Seat is not comfortable for long rides. Ride1Up Revv 1 seat much better/comfortable. X-class is great but not so great for pedaling, better for throttle only like Revv 1. If you like AR and want to pedal, you will get same power with Kepler, which is an excellent e-bike, bigger and best value.
@brianpacheco19277 ай бұрын
If you want to pedal you should go mid range. These bikes especially at these weights and sizes should really only be throttle only.

Will it run in a year? Can you trust it to get you 10 miles to work w/o a breakdown? Top speed doesn't matter much when you have to walk it back home. Then, who will work on it? Theres nobody. A $3000+ lawn ornament! My controllers shorted out crammed too tite in too small a place, and caught fire, under my seat, between my legs, while riding gently uphill in June. If your forks r bottoming with u just leaning on them there is something wrong with them. I’m 200 lbs and ride off road a lot with moderate jumping, whoops and just general rough offroad and I’ve never bottomed the fork. I upgraded the rear shock as the stock on is pretty much garbage but the front forks are excellent for a stock bike.

@@MrCentralDriver it’s kinda hard to tell for sure in the video but it looks like the forks aren’t reaching full travel when u lean on it. After watching the video I put my entire weight on my bars to see if I could bottom mine out and I can just barely cause them to touch the stop with me standing over the front tire and jumping down onto the bars while pressing as hard as I can. I have been genuinely impressed with the front fork. They actually feel pretty progressive, wish nice chop absorption while still retaining solid big hit compression.

The person doing this video review is wrong about the rear suspension, it is fully adjustable there's two rings on top of shock housing to tighten or loosen the compression and rebound stroke. Also the top cover w/ screw on the left side of the front shock is removable to allow a air shock pump to attach to the Schrader valve adding air to shock. If you read the owners manual you'll see this. Obviously he didn't read the owners manual.
