Great comparison and presentation. I'm a professional cyclists too. I always wear a full-face helmet when riding and testing Class 3 ebikes; especially over 30mph. Plus, wearing elbow and knee pads won't hurt too. Enjoy and stay safe.

The reason the MPH is off is because you have to change the TIRE SIZE of the bike in the settings portion using the little screen. set it down from 24 to 22 and you will GET AN ACCURATE reading of MPH. Cheers. This is for the Ariel Rider.

We know the new rev1 has a higher top speed than the Ariel and since both easily go over 30 I was looking forward to an acceleration test maybe 0-30 mph. With the 1000w motor the AR has I would thing it would pull harder than rev1 750w motor.

I just bought the Ariel rider last week "X-class step-through" went for my first ride today it was mainly all up hill went about 20 miles again Mostly all up STEEP hills/streets. I set my speed limit at 30MPH., It Had no problem, no matter how steep the hill was it didn't really struggle and I didn't even have to peddle once it max speed up every hill. I love the Ariel Rider.

One thing worth mentioning is that some states (Wisconsin, at least) have a hard 750 W cutoff for the power rating of the motor. That would make the X-class illegal as an eBike. It would have to be registered as a motorcycle to ride on the street legally. That alone gives Revv1 the victory for me. X-Class is too powerful for my state without possibly getting me in hot water! (even locked down to the 20 mph Class 2 speed) I also ride on the street 90% of the time, and the Revv 1 is better there, so that reinforces my choice.

@xcodychaosx
@xcodychaosx Жыл бұрын
Believe shreddie mcskate has a comparison of the 2 mostly the c3strom doesn't have a rear suspension so its better on road than off and then the c3strom i guess gets up to top speed everytime where the revv1 gets up to 30 but then over time on longer straights will get up to 35 or 36 think he said the seat on the revv 1 is better and yeah thats all I remember plus I think the c3strom is around 3000 right? Idr but id just go with the cheaper revv1 without rear suspension as its around 1800. im thinking someone's gonna hook up a computer and tune the controller eventually to get up to top speed everytime and really im excited to see a 72v revv1

I don’t understand how the rev1 is faster or has more acceleration. The x class has a 35 amp controller and 2000 watts peak. The rev1 has a 28 amp controller and 1500 watt peak. The rev1 is 20 pounds heavier also. I think ride1up is downplaying the amps and motor to make it ebike legal. For a 750 watt 52v bike with a 28 amp controller shouldn’t go faster then 32mph

@xpndblhero5170 Жыл бұрын
You shouldn't have to worry about tightening the spokes or the forks or anything (I check everything because I have OCD) it's a brand new bike and the only thing a customer should have to worry about is the basic assembly out of the box... What if you bought it for your kid or something and it was already falling apart out of the box, that ruins my opinion of a company very quickly when they show they don't care about their customers.
@Trillville43
@Trillville43 Жыл бұрын
@@xpndblhero5170 That's fair but you should be checking all this before riding anyway because safety first. I didn't check mine when I first got it but had to before 50mi.

@kimhyunwoo8983 Жыл бұрын
@@xpndblhero5170 well first kids aren’t allowed to ride class3+ e-bikes under 16 I think in almost all United states and even most other countries. But also you definitely should be checking all your hardware on these type of bikes out of the box when you get them and I’m at least a minimum of once a month because vibration causes things to loosen naturally.
@xpndblhero5170
@xpndblhero5170 Жыл бұрын
@@Trillville43 - Yeah I find it's important to check after a "break-in period" but I check before I go on rides because I tow my son around in a bike trailer... If I got an ebike like this, my first move would be to check Everything before riding but that's just me. A lot of people don't do that because they don't know how so it should be safe enough to ride until after the break-in period... They should be checked and tightened before being sent to the customer then the customer should only have to worry about attaching the bars, pedals, mirrors, and things like that.

Never gonna buy from Ariel Rider again! Purchased one of their bikes from them and two years later when I needed a new battery for it they claim they don't sell them anymore. So I'm stuck with a totally useless bike. They suggested I try to contact the battery manufacturer and have them make me one. Can you imagine how much that would cost? May as well get a new bike. Stay away. Very poor support. Even more, their website says they are "out of stock" of batteries for their new line of bikes. Beware.

That does kind of suck... Do you think they actually stopped making them, or are they just on extreme back order? It might not make ya happy, but you might be surprised on how its not all that complicated to make your own battery... the issue would be to have a case that matches the old one unless you can take it apart and replace the banks...
