Alright I havent been keeping up with this series as much as I should (considering its like a better version of that Slime Isekai) but why does she have someone stuck on her head? I was kind of expecting her to evolve into the Monster Girl route but it looks so unnatural, like her spider face remains and her human body looks almost dead, like a zombie....what have I missed?

I like how in the WN when Ariel's new personality debuts in front of Kumo and Kuro, everyone has the best reactions. She showed up at the tail end of a fight against these absurdly powerful and deadly robot things. Ariel crashes through the ceiling and crushed the Boss beneath her like it was no big deal. Announcing her arrival as " Magical Girl Ariel-chan is here!" while doing a classic cutesy pose on top of the mangled remains of the Big Boss robot. This prompted Kumo to start thinking "Somebody say something. No seriously, say something" Kuro fell to his knees and despaired over what happened to his long time rival/frenemy.

Honestly, even with context, it’s unusual. I certainly didn’t expect Ariel to come in like that. Or the robot. The headless Arachne, yeah that was a given. Kumoko usually comes out of boss fights missing at least one or two parts.

something the show didn't quite explain well here is that since part of Kumoko has merged with Ariel's soul as much as it has at this point, she runs a high risk of dying if she kills Kumoko. Saying she just lost interest isn't entirely accurate

The main voice actor really makes the character enjoyable. The surprised sound at 1:40 was especially enjoyable this time around, and the script is really entertaining. When does Season 2 come out? Hopefully soon :)
