It does! We got around 3 to 4 foot snow drifts outside right now with the storm going on. Gonna find out how she is going to go through the plow bank at the end of the road, I was able to walk over the plow bank with out sinking. not sure how she's gonna do but we will find out. Subscribe to see

@@LUCAMTire yep. Had some late unwanted storms. Performed awesome. I do agree with most that the auto turn can be an issue. I was very happy with it otherwise.

This machine has incredible power and performance. I just bought the same one, and have only gotten to use it on one snowfall so far. For the last 9 years, I have used a Troy-Bilt which works ok, but nothing like this. Are you using the additional weight that is available as an accessory to stabilize the front of the machine? Thanks for the video.
@LUCAMTire
@LUCAMTire Жыл бұрын
No not using any additional weight. Works fine to me as is. I have a drive way that is grass I park a trailer in, thinking if I add weight I would be digging trenches in the dirt or pave 😆 . Make sure your slides are adjusted for the cut depth is all I did

I have the same unit, it does a amazing job, the only complaint I have is; it could use 1 lower gear, first gear is too fast occasionally.
@LUCAMTire
@LUCAMTire 2 жыл бұрын
I find 1st gear is to slow for compacted banks or drifts. Normally I need to ram it through the harder banks. 3rd gear for traction and for forward thrust, I run anywhere from 1st to 4th gear blowing depending on the scenario. In some deep snow 1st gear can be a little fast, but normally the blower does not bog out to a stall. It can sound like it is under load and it will but it is working and it does. From time to time I let the blower catch up if i feel it is not throwing the snow as far as i would like. If it is bogging down to a stall you have some heavy heavy snow or running in a high gear. I usually run in 1st to 3rd gear and take half to full cuts, I let stuff fall out the other side of the mouth of the blower. my first pass of cleaning is not to make it perfect but to get the majority of all the snow out of the way, I then come back for a 4th gear clean up in the end if needed. Trying to make it perfect the first time through you will be there blowing twice as long from what I have experienced so far. But you are correct first gear is a little fast, It could be slightly slower in some scenarios. Thanks for watching. Make sure to like and subscribe. I have some 4 foot snowblowing videos being edited right now which i will release soon if interested in watching.

There's a video on how to adjust 1st gear so it's slower. Makes reverse faster at the same time. I haven't tried it yet.

I adjusted my Toro Power Max HD 1232 forward speed so it will crawl in first gear. That is what you need in deep snow like what is being shown in this video. Let the machine do the work instead of pushing and wiggling the machine. That is why Honda track drive with the hydro gear drive are so impressive, they can go as slow as needed. The Ariens has plenty of power, just needs a bit slower first gear. I am sure an adjustment could be made to slow the forward speed to a crawl in first gear. One advantage to making the adjustment, reverse is a tad quicker.
@LUCAMTire
@LUCAMTire Жыл бұрын
I understand the crawling speed when going through deep snow. It does not pack up and stop the bucket from cutting through the bank. Allows less spillage. In this video I am clearing a walking path on the lawn and my second drive way which is also lawn and building a snow hill to load snowmobiles into a truck. For the banks at the road I have tried it slow and I have tried it fast. Fast seems to dig into the bank better as slow tents to touch the bank and spin. If I had tracks it would prolly be a different story. For the most part I am looking to get the job done. A little bit of spillage is ok with me in this section as i like to keep a bit of a base. With the blower jerking is due to it fetching up on the ground, lawn or ice sheets below the snow. Majority of the time it will go straight in the direction pointed unless it fetches up on the ground. I am normally running in 2-3rd gear flying through the snow depending on depth for the most part. Some times dial it back to 1st. Normally get things cleared out in a hurry and come back for a little clean up if needed after the wind calms down. A faster reverse would be nice but I like the speed going forward as well with doing 2 drive ways and a walking path. A gopro battery only last so long. 😅

its what i like to get next, but my 18 year old 24" ariens refuses to die. that thing is a beast. Nice vid, but your snow throwing strategy confuses me. why not throw everything in to the woods on the edge? there is plenty of throw distance. why bother throwing it low and short to the middle near the house?
@LUCAMTire
@LUCAMTire 2 жыл бұрын
I created a mound of snow for a loading dock to be able to back my truck up to load and unload snowmobiles. is why it seemed odd blowing it to the middle. might of also created a wall near the lower section incase it gets icey the trailer does not slide down the slope and gets stuck. There is a method to the madness lol Thanks for watching

Man, this thing is totally illegal, they just pass a new law (Law 27687-2B) that says snowblower are no longer legal if they throw snow more than 30 feet. Yours is throwing snow way further than this, at least 42.5 feet +++... I'm calling the cops... LOL, just kidding, nice little tool you got there. I'm also from NB... Cheers
