I was wondering what you were wearing out there, then seeing the sled it was clear you have great snow gear. I can stay warm and dry for the rare time I use my walk behind on my driveway, but struggle in finding a balance between warm and dry vs overheating when I'm working for longer times. Thanks for the video!

When windy I use my snowmobile boots, pants, jacket and helmet. Thin layer of clothes under snow suit not to sweat to much. The enclosed snowmobile helmet is perfect for blocking all the wind and snow dust in your face. You can just take your time and enjoy. Looks a little funny seeing some one wearing a helmet when snow blowing their driveway when driving by but it makes perfect sense for the person snow blowing the driveway. Works great on a open concept tractor as well. The idea is to allow the equipment to do the work. Not the operator. It will get done in about the same time. Thanks for watching

If I may ask. How long have you had this this? Any issues like rust? starting?
@LUCAMTire

No issues with rust starting. And this is going on my second winter. I put quite a bit of time on this blower. I have 2 drive ways that both fit about 4 cars and then I do around the back of my house around deck and wood pile etc. Normally each storm depending on size storm takes around 2 to 3 hours depending on how picky I want to be and i normally clean things up pretty good. The paint on the oggers chipped off some as I ran it into some ice banks and picked up a few rocks here and there. Slight surface rust where the paint chipped on auggers. Nothing concerning. From the time I purchased to now I probably have around 40 + hours on it. Nothing broke, nothing seems worn out. Only thing I needed to do is retighten the shoot bracket. Grease bearings. I am pretty happy with it. I could not of hired some one cheaper to do what this blower did in the past 2 seasons. I enjoy using it as it proves itself time and time again. I do not think you will be disappointed.

That’s a beast. Can’t even see where the snow is landing 🤣

It normally throws it 30 to 50 ft on average depending on snow conditions. In this video I had a good side wind. The wind was catching it and just taking it for miles. Lol 😆

I'm looking at getting a new Ariens. Do you feel this machine has enough power/big enough engine? I occasionally get 2-foot storms and quite a bit of heavy wet snow. Debating this machine or the Platinum 24 sho. Thanks

If I was to do it again I would prolly go the model up with the support brackets that run from the bucket to the blower base or handle base. Can't remember where they go. Just to be a little more ridged. Overall this is still a pretty ridged snow blower. I do more then just a little drive way. I have two drive ways myself and then a walking path behind house. Plus build a snowmobile launch pad. Took it a few times to a hill to build a sliding looge. These scenarios would be the only reason I would purchase the sturdier model as I use it alot beside just the single drive way. If you check some of my other videos I have up this machine plows through the snow pretty good and moves it out of the way in a hurry. I dont find Wet heavy snow is much of a issue with this blower. We had some slop days here and it still sent it out of the drive way a good 10-20ft. And talking water running under snow. Slush On average snow it will shoot it 40 ft out of the way. Check my snowblower video Playlist. I don't think you would be disappointed in what you see for performance. I will drop a link in the next comment of the Playlist

@@LUCAMTire Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure I see a model with support brackets other than the ones inside in the bucket from the gearbox to the bucket. I know Toro has braces from the blower to the bucket. I'm going to go look at the Ariens models this week. Thanks for your help/videos.

@@jessetherrien7851 I went back through the different models on the dealers website I purchased from and did not see the brackets I was referring To. Might of been a different make they had or it was just available certain years maybe. Thought I seen some braces on one of the arien models, could be wrong. All and all I am happy with the arien blower and my local dealer. Can't wait for the snow lol 😆 😜

Yikes, ice driveway. Seems like you left at least a inch. Hopefully the sun came out that day and melted it. They sell weight kits on Amazon that will keep the front end down and prevent it from riding up. There are two holes on the front auger housing that you attach them to. You will be able to get down to the pavement.

Drive way is not to super smooth or level. I have the snowblower set so it will leave around 1/2 inch or less for a base for the snowmobiles. So the carbides do not dig in to the pave as bad and for the snowmobile track to have some traction. Most of the time the little bit of snow I leave behind melts off if any of the pave sees through. If we get mild days where the drive way turns to ice I throw some salt to melt the ice and it's back to dry pave with in a day or so. I seen the weights and looks like they would work well. I personally never really had a issue scraping down to the pave. The cutting edge works pretty good. I can not complain.

Hi … I enjoyed your video. You did a nice job using the gear that allowed the machine to maximize throwing without snow spilling out of the sides of the bucket. Drift cutters would have made handling that snow higher than your bucket easier. I have them on my Ariens, and I only put them up when we get a big snow. Curious to know what camera you were using as I enjoyed the perspective from the operators position. Keep the videos coming!

I have a set of drift cutters i put on in the next storm. The drift cutters are ok but i do not find them tall enough but do help. The camera is a gopro 8 I have it mounted on the top of my snowmobile helmet. I wear a snowmobile helmet as it blocks the blowing snow in my face, I have a communicator hooked up to the helmet which allows me to listen to music while snowblowing and can record with the gopro. Make sure to hit the like button and subscribe to the channel. I have a couple videos that will be releasing in the next couple days. Thanks for watching
