Nice job. Does that stator just make AC power ? If so I am not sure if the LED bulbs need DC. I had that issue with an old Briggs that made AC for the headlight circuit.

Yeah I’d need a rectifier or capacitor to convert to dc, this should just be AC voltage. My LEDs on my Wheel Horse are PAR36 landscape lights for low voltage dc. They work great.

I keep hearing that Christmas week there is a big pattern change and deep cold will come in the the Great Lakes. But we'll have to see. The Bills game tonight should be interesting, the band is over us now and supposed to move south to the Stadium later this evening. Hopefully the Dolphins will get a dose of Buffalo weather tonight!

It depends on your model and serial tecumseh. Mine is an HMSK80 Tecumseh engine, with electric start. Need to start there.

Not the snowblower. The engine model and serial. ST824 was used over decades.

I cheated this year. I just bought a helmet light.

I was going to do the same. LED's now are crazy bright now. But once I came across new old stock headlight and a great price for the flywheel and stator I got hooked.
