Yep. No doubt. I think the hardest part is not being able to see these people play with your own eyes too. Like I grew up with the 80s and 90s through modern day and remember hearing about how player so and so from the 70s was better than say Barkley......and you see the numbers. But I almost think you need to see them in real time to appreciate them and get a true idea of how great they were. Like id agree if you look at just points/rebounds/assists/blocks that someone would think LeBron is better than Jordan. But the stats, the championships and mvps plus if you saw what he did in person? Damn. They were in the playoffs more than they were in the playoffs pretty much every year 2 There was more of consistency with the roster with a core of younger players for Lakers fans to connect with, that gave us the sense that we were building towards something that just needed seasoning ....( Van Excel, Eddie Jones etc ) as opposed to a random mismatch or mercenaries who come for a year or two to play with ba past his prime player in ion his late 30's that you know is going nowhere .. and where the coach is fired every two years .
