I saw 2 cups flour, 2 Tbs sugar, pinch of salt, dash of oil, 2 Tbs powdered milk, 3/4 cup warm water, but where was the yeast? Or did you use baking powder? What makes your bread rise? I looked at your website and saw no way to search for the recipe.

Hey Peter why don’t you put shrink wrap on the Aries line to stop it wearing so quickly or ant chafe same idea as shrink wrap ? Just a thought

It good Dyneema rope and that one has done over 3000nm and would have done way more but silly me had it too loose and it got pinched by the Aries , just the right amount of slack in it now , thanks for your suggestion, keep them coming, I love to hear good ideas 😊⛵️

Trying to figure out what flour got the best shelf life - have you considered to use corn flour or oat flour? On Free Range Sailing they don’t bring flour - instead they go for grains and use an hand mill.

Hi Miq , the shelf life on my self raising flour is over a year , I need all my food stores to last 1 year minimum for my solo nonstop circumnavigation but most of my food has a much longer best before. Keep simple is my thinking 😊

Hi Peter , Great your getting things done with waxwing , so much easier alongside than having to tackle them at Sea. Your bread looks good too , regarding food have you had any dietary advice for your solo circumnavigation as I'm curious what that advice may have been . Snacks are great they can give you a boost when there is no time for cooking but choosing the best chocolate etc is vital and super value have a good range Expecially the cocoa 70% anyway I'm sure your looking into all that . Powdered milk is good too if you dilute it first before putting it in your tea , coffee also if your having cereal, same with condensed milk . Anyway Peter I'm. Not here to criticise but ; just curious about the diet regime you will have . Take care as always , out !

Hi Vincent, great question, food prep and what to bring is a huge part of my circumnavigation. I got a lot of expert advice , I will carry a huge variety of different food , freeze dried dinners , rice , pasta , onions, garlic , canned food , powder eggs and mild , protein bars , chocolate, energy drinks , vitamin drinks etc , SuperValu have kindly sponsored my food and they have a fantastic selection of great quality food. I will be strong as a ox what I get back 😊⛵️

Hi Ron , yes I carry a Hydrovane as a emergency rudder , the mounting pads are on the transom still and I can slide in the Hydrovane if I need it , a fantastic back up to have onboard . That’s coming up in a video soon 😊⛵️

I'm not sure if anyone asked this question but, did you use self-rising flour or regular general purpose flour? Also, have you ever considered adding fennel or anise seeds? They make a great addition to the bread should you be interested in changing it up a bit. Also, I would just like to add, I enjoy your videos and hope to see many more in the future. I think that it's great that you keep it mostly about sailing and what it takes to sail. Unfortunately, many other sailing channels eventually turn many of their sailing videos into what looks like travel vlogs of the rich and famous. Keep up the good work.
