Lucy Reed I am reading the third one, but I hated peter in the second SPOILER HUGE SUMMARY OF THE SECOND BOOK(of the book and not sure if it’s gonna be in the movie since they change a lot for the first one) So basically peter ends up giving Genevieve since she was going through a lot of family drama but Lara Jean didn’t know what was going on and Peter would not say anything, I won’t give too much in case you want to read it but peter ends up admitting that he still had to be there for Genevieve but that made Lara Jean believe that peter still loved Genevieve so she breaks up with him later lots of events happen and Lara Jean ends up understanding why peter needed to be there for Genevieve so Peter ends up telling Lara Jean that he loves her and that she is not his first but definitely her best

@@cecicordova165 I finished the 1st book and the read the whole 2nd book and started reading the 3rd book yesterday lol.I loved the 2nd book more than the 1st.The breakup was a little annoying but I seriously started to fall for John's character! I hope If they ever do a sequel to the movie that they include him in it! It's unfair if only Peter gets a love triangle Lara Jean deserves one too 😂

I love how their characters stay true to themselves the entire film. No one tried to change a part of them for another. There was no appearance change, no cliche like “now my life is going to be free of problems because I’m with you” happily ever after shit. It’s more of a “I’m with you and it’s going to be complicated at times, but hey, whatever happens, we’re just in in for the present”. And how she shrugged at the end when he asked “are you gonna break my heart, Covey?” is absolutely the cherry on top for me. It’s literally such a Lara Jean thing. Her quirks still stay the same. Like shit man, the amount of perfection in character development for the novel and the film is just wow.

One of the main reasons I like Peter K's character in the book is because he is an insecure boy hiding it with an arrogant outer ego. He agreed to pretend with LJ because, he half-liked her, and half wanted to not make the people around him think he'll take Gen back in no time. He has an image he shows, but deep inside, he knows he isn't perfect. So when he fell in love with LJ, he was so insecure of losing her to Sanderson or Ambrose because he knows they're more of her type than him. And when they broke it off, and she was getting into Ambrose's car, he ran after her after ignoring her for the whole day, due to his pride, coz he was scared he was gonna lose her to Ambrose, who we know LJ would pick if she hadn't fallen inlove with Peter. He's a normal boy who wants to be happy with the people he loves, not a typical popular jock who plays with girls hearts and has rich never at home parents.
