Yes they technically both aren’t sibling, not by the fact that they don’t share the same blood but how their relationship when being in the orphanage never was like being with a family. I have cousins, an aunt and an uncle on my mother’s side who aren’t blood related to me who I’ve known all my life. Does that mean they aren’t my cousins, auntie, and uncle? No, because they’ve treated me like family ever since I was born and my non biological grandma took my mother and her sister in when my non biological grandma had two kids of her own. This very premise of “they aren’t blood related so it’s not entirely wrong” is a slap in the face for me and people who found a family that aren’t biologically related. I so tired of this trope. If a scenario like this were to happen in real life it would be best to just leave the adoptive parents in order to prevent things from being even more awkward for the two people emotionally involved and the people that adopted them.
