@@StevenJones851 believe it or not that’s what makes arifureta what it is. It’s not the amount of the females in the cast, but the poor adaptation of characters, in the light novel every female character within the harem(Yes even Tio and Kaori) is well written and have their personal character arc, but due to the anime leaving out huge portions of what makes the characters what they are and even adding an un existent catch phrase of shea(Desu) made the characters dull and just fan service. P.S. One of the a huge portions they left out was for Sheas character, something that they left out of the first season completely and will now be the focus of the next season, that being the Hidden city of verbergen, home of the beastmen which ends up adding a lot of depth to sheas backstory and background, which in term will be extremely confusing when they animate it since people won’t understand anything due to never showing the events of volume 2 in season 1. What I mean is that Hajime actually made contact and visited verbergen which is crucial to sheas characte, because it adds to the reasoning why she fell for our dear protagonist, from his first human kill in reisen gorge, to be willing to declare war and massacre all tribes of verbergen just to hold his end of the deal to the Haulia. And also the fact that they forget to animate how close Yue and Shea truly are as Shea is Yue’s first ever friend. Other things that they left out is why kaori is the way it is which is important to her since without it she seems as an annoying and obsessed character used for fan service as well.

@@hayasenagatoro2611 I've read the source Material it's Awesome I've seen the cut content that they didn't put into the Anime it's frustrating and Annoying i wish that they did the Anime better I'm on the After Story After Hajime and Yue killed Ehit with there combined Attacks it's pretty good Season 3 will be confusing for Anime only's because they cut a lot of content in the Anime of Season 1

@@StevenJones851 yup it really is a shame that the anime butchered so much especially what makes the characters them. And nice I'm rereading through the paperback copies of the light novel, and the author added more things into the story and cleaned it up even more to add more depth to his characters and the paperback copies of the light novel also add extra chapters which add more depth and background to the characters, and bonus chapters as well but some of them aren't canon. One of my favorite extra chapters is when they are trying to figure out how disintegration magic works via kaoris memories since she's in noints body, but she gets lost in her own memories and has flashbacks of her and Yue having legitimate conversations and showcasing how much Yue cares for Kaori and vice versa. For example when Kaori died Yue had to clear the mountain labyrinth so she rushed in and cleared it in record time of just 2 hours just to be able to save Kaori. Or after the haltina labyrinth where Kaori is homesick and Yue sits down to listen to her stories to make her feel better showcasing a great relationship of friendship not just rivalry. Hopefully when volume 13 comes out not only does it include the after stories but also added content
