@Jack Wrath I took the bait and checked out your channel, and the two associated channels, you just have an introductory video... what content do you speak of. The thing about ADHD is isn't just hopping from one short term distraction to the next. It is also hyperfocus, like spending 17 hours an art project without getting up to eat or pee and experiencing it like just a couple hours. And what I've found is just how quickly I stop parsing anything if there's too much to focus on, and also just how unmotivated I am to do anything when my focus is interrupted. I glaze over in both instances. It's very feast or famine in my concentration.

I’m the literally same way!! Going for a general psychological evaluation in a couple days and my therapist and I think my issues (lack of motivation despite wanting to do things, getting painfully bored quickly, forgetting everything easily, social anxiety, trouble processing things when I’m not interested in it or when I’m distracted by something else even another thought that popped up in my head, etc. and I guess oversharing like this comment as an example lol) probably stem from ADHD but I guess we’ll find out lol. But god I relate to this comment so hard lmao I don’t even know if this comment was readable, I think it’s a block of text lol. I’m usually good at writing properly but I’m struggling rn lmao

@@Emmaem111 damn dude I hella relate to a lot of those - the thing abt ADHD is that it can overlap with a lot of other stuff goin on (for me anyway LOL) but regardless, glad you're goin' to get it checked out! Always good to discuss with a professional to make sure ^-^ (also dw your comment is readable I also feel u in that regard lmao. Words just be like that sometimes yk)
@Prizzlesticks
@Prizzlesticks Жыл бұрын
@@Emmaem111 The comment was legible, don't worry! :) I write for a living, and even I have days where I go back and read old comments and go, "...wtf was I even trying to say??" So no worries. You're good! Best of luck with your eval! Even if you don't meet all the criteria for ADHD afterward, there are probably still some treatments and treatment models that can help with those symptoms. And if you do meet the diagnosis, it might take a few different tries to find treatment that works. I also have Borderline PD, and Adderall did me no favours for emotional dysregulation. Ritalin was like Bupropion that wore off every day, which was... okay, but not effective. I'm taking Vyvanse right now, which had the attention efficacy of Adderall with less moodiness. Unfortunately, there is no generic option yet, so it can be very pricey if your insurance won't cover it. But my coworker is on an entirely different medication I can't remember the name of! So there are lots of options out there. And of course, therapy in general really helps. I credit DBT with saving my life, but the core tenants are pretty great for ADHD too. So I'm sure there is something out there for you that will absolutely work! And I hope you're able to find. :)

Oh wow! I never thought about the fact that pilots need to be able to multitask all that much. I’ve personally never had the desire to be a pilot bc I’m terrified of both heights and being responsible for someone’s possible death/injury, but now I have another reason why that’s not a viable career choice for me 😂 I can barely manage walking and talking at the same time, let alone such advanced-level multitasking 💀

that's why I hate flight sims that make me look out of the cockpit glass. I just want to stare at a monitor with a HUD that also shows my entire plane from third person. if a real plane can't do that for me (with a trailing camera or something?) then ima stay on the ground.

Ah, to measure multitasking capability and probably reaction speed as well. I did something similar when the american airforce wanted to recruit me… I had really high reaction speed for my age because of my inattentive-type ADHD, and my light sensitivity allowed me to see and react to stuff close to and in my peripheral vision far more quickly than the average could. I failed close to where the average my age does; my reaction speed could only carry my poor multitasking capabilities so far. It was cool that the recruiter let me do their testing game three times when I wasn’t interested whatsoever in joining. I also have motion sickness even if I’m behind the wheel, so I gotta carry a few pills for at all times. Recruiter was great and made a note of it for the recruitment team to stop mailing me stuff three times a year. I was peeved at them wasting paper on me more than anything else 😅

I think with this game, if you both held the same controller, and you each focus on 2 games at once with the different buttons, one does the Left stick and D-Pad, and the 2 trigger buttons, then the other with the ABXY Buttons and the right-stick together can complete each challenges. I think with the ABXY buttons you can share between 2 people also each doing 2 buttons each.

It's easy to think of Baha Men as one hit wonders, but I recently discovered they also recorded the excellent opening song from the movie Rat Race, which I've always loved but never thought to look up the artist

Having 2 games with identical controls, but in one you have to CATCH falling objects and in the other you AVOID them, both happening simultaneously for almost the entirety of each game's run time? That's beyond cruel. 15:49 for reference

If you have the accessibility of having many eyes (with two eyes of course) you could easily do it (As I have this accessibility). Example look at one screen and you could see other screen while looking at the one only screen.

I think some people have pointed this out already but Arin's flappy bird story was pretty fully incorrect. The developer wanted the game to be relaxing and enjoyable for short times, but it ended out being wildly addictive. He didn't like how overused and addictive it was, to the point that he was losing sleep over it, so after careful thinking he decided to pull it. I believe he also wants to make his games in private and didn't like the publicity, but thats just my memory and could be wrong. His decision to pull the game had him met with death threats, however he doesn't regret it because he felt it was the right choice

Fun fact: "Who Let the Dogs Out?" is an anti-cat-calling song. The "dogs" in the song are men who disrespectfully hit on women in public. Which makes it extra funny that they call one of them a "flea-infested mongrel".
