J'ai écouté beaucoup de versions de cet air, y-compris parmi les plus grand(e)s interprètes. La palette émotionnelle de C.Bartoli est incroyablement large, et c'est à mes yeux la seule qui permet de redire plusieurs fois un passage (comme souvent ici) sans jamais refaire deux fois la même chose. C'est d'ailleurs tout l'intérêt de la musique ne pas figer. 4:20 ; 4:55 -> 5:04 ; 7:08 (topissime !) ; etc. Définitivement la plus grande, à côté malgré tout de magnifiques autres étoiles, qui n'en restent pas moins magnifiques ...

Le tempo démesurément étiré finit par lasser...Le plus grand de tous : Franco Fagioli, absolument incomparable. Et pour les variations après la partie Ma spezzar etc...si variations il y a, c'est dans l'interprétation de Franco Fagioli (en public comme en disque) qu'on les entend dans leur belle diversité et qu'il nous émeut avec sa voix parfaite.

Whilst I've heard this sung beautifully by Anna Hallenberg & Lea Desandre , there's something about this 'gutsy' performance by Cecila that makes it perfect for this aria 👏👏👌👌 tho there is something unsettlingly weird about watching a woman in a beard ( I hope it's false! ) singing this wonderfully! 😁

Sublime air, sublime Bartoli (qui n'avait pas besoin d'être grimée de cette manière outrancière... elle n'est pas la 1e femme à interpréter les rôles d'homme - contralto! Quel dommage, ce caprice de metteur.en sc ,qui distrait,et dérange le spectateur ! )
