I think the invitation of the erudite engineer should teach our media house a great lesson on how to bring only the professional to public forum rather than the noise maker and profiteer calling themselves CSO or public analysts who only confuse the gullible and vulnerable citizens who are already fed up with the system. The president of Nigeria Chemical Engineer explanation on this matter is very clear and lucid enough for an objective mind to assess.

The energy and effort being expended to prove this refinery is now functional is considerably. Why not invite someone on the ground in the refinery to come and explain this rather than someone who is relying on hearsay evidence. At the very least, he should have come along with an official letter addressed to him or the management of Arise News from the management of the refinery declaring the refinery is now operational. The whole affair, like SA said, is being addressed as if the refinery is like a refurbished car, and the debate is over whether anyone heard when they started it's engine. The debate should be over whether anyone saw the car being driven around town. If this refinery is actually operational, where are the trucks' daily lifting petroleum products to petrol stations and other end users?

These journalists just like Rufai, showed their ignorance which smells loud to the world. They are demonizing ‘blending’ as something bad or the oil bunkers do. They have no knowledge of the process, yet kept repeating the same question in different forms, despite being corrected, to score a point. Mr. Obuigwe, as a former MD of PH refinery and president of the association of chemical engineers, has been following up the refurbishment of the various refineries since, it was announced, when $1.5 billion was allocated for it. So, he has knowledge if it’s functioning or not, they have members of the chemical engineers on ground, and also they have been sending members of the association to the refineries various times to conduct supervision. . Na wa for these journalists o
