been a bow main for a long time since MH4U and I finally decided to play GS from the beginning in MHR and honestly it was the best decision. Its such a fun play style! Still love bow but this let me enjoy hunting in a completely different way than I’m use to. I no longer have to worry about being squishy! There’s nothing quite like the feeling of going head first into an attack in return for MASSIVE damage! BTW probs on a fantastically edited video!

Hell yeah, my fellow GS users are here. One does not simply can play GS. I love the Rage Slash gameplay - very tanky and we are basically saving our fellow hunters' butts and making the hunt easier for them by doing continuous attacks thru absorbing the monster hits and throwing it back double the damage. Even the enraged monsters can't stop us from attacking. So cool.

Yet to experience Rise, but MHW made me a GS main and here is a list of things GS'ter gotta do A) Tackle through every attack at least once in their life. You haven't lifed full life unless you have charged through a supernova and cracked Teostra's crown. B) Attack where monster is going to be 1 second in future. More of GS's slowness than acts of utter badassery. C) Used wide slash instead of TSC just to dance around monster, dealing in soem damage while waiting for the TSC opportunity D) Tried to make elemental GS build work.. somehow.. Somewhere.. Enough about that, I just vent to ramble and forgot why I was writing this comment. THAT DUNK ON ZINOGRE. Just.. Peak Great Swording.

I used to be a great sword main and with MHRise i switched to long sword and insect glaive and hammer. but this video. This is bringing me back to Great Sword. I mained Great Sword for all of 3 ultimate, all of 4 ultimate, and generations. This restored my love for this incredible weapon.
@adambenhalid6653 жыл бұрын
Just recently switched weapon from insect glaive to greatsword because I got bored of just going up the sky and slashing but with the great sword I learned alot of the monster moves and positioning. Trying to master the hunt and the weapon is so entertaining and fulfilling. This video shows the true potential of the weapon and mastering it will be rewarding.

I'm learning greatsword and the hardest part right now is hitting the monsters. I charge up and they always run away or move slightly just as I'm about to release a TCS and it just frustrates me to no end. But when I do hit those big chonky 4-digit hits, it's supremely satisfying.

Nice! Thanks for sharing. TBH, I just came off of a pretty demoralizing run fighting Narwa for the first time. It lasted for-frigging-ever because I was struggling to land good hits. Watching your vid just re-energized me to go back into the game. How do you control the camera so well? You seem to even be able to adjust it you're charging? Your accuracy on those swings is so good. I'm struggling to even make my swings land where I want them, never mind actually knowing where to put them to best take advantage of attack patterns. I feel like I keep missing because my swing angle is often a bit off and could really use some tips on camera management. Do you use controller or kb+mouse?

I'm not that good with the Great Sword. I can use it just enough to survive, but not where I can use it comfortable, toy around with the monsters and most importantly, I still can't get the full enjoyment out of using it. I'm still practicing the Great Sword from time to time, but seeing this video really encourages me to go into Great Sword seriously. I think I will drop other weapons for now and focus on just the Great Sword, I want to be this good! Also, I especially love 1:12 and 7:43!
