I love to jump while running with the dog (R +ZR), while I'm in the air I dismount the dog (B), immediately after I load Charged Slash (X) in air and make it arrive above the mob...this is my special move when I start the fight haha 😅

The master shows everyone how it's done again I have a real love/hate relationship with GS in this title with the monsters' tracking and emphasis on counters compared to perfectly positioning yourself to charge during attacks, but the trade-off is all the insanely stylish stuff you can do with wirebugs and switch skills, which you've done a great job showing off

This is the video I'd give to people who always claim that there's only a set number of viable switch skills for each weapon and that everything else is trash... I also like how Sunbreak is still keeping head sniping alive... I suck at head sniping but seeing masters at a weapon sniping monsters left and right will never cease to be satisfying to watch... oh and this 11:00 is just fucking badass holy shit... poor Bagel didn't know what hit him...

Thank you for the great Video Aris. Sunbreaks Greatsword is really fun to play.^^ Btw, Strongarm Stance is basically just a nerfed version of Frontiers Extreme Style counter, so imagen if we get that one in the next game and maybe also Extreme Style Greatswords ultimate attack that was one HUGE charge attack that dealed 15 hits and every hit had the power of an True Charge Slash.

This makes me want to try the other switch skills GS has. I'm a GS main myself, but I really only use the standard set of Tackle, Charge Slash Combo, TCS, Power Sheath, and SAS.

Nice finally Sunbreak VER. is released. By the way Aris, I think the step 8 and 9 combos are overlapping. Some clips from the both steps showcase same dunk scenario. Also, I personally prefer your first one (Rise VER.) which has better technique implementation and monster variation. However, looking forward to your 10 Steps of GS in upcoming MH Series. Thanks for making the video.

just picked up rise on xbox console and chose GS. i was a SA main in word and wanted to try something different. i have watched this video over and over again to learn how to GS. I still feel i am no where close. This is pure excellence. I am curious on how many times you fought each enemy to know their moves and know where they will be to maximize damage? I feel that i am still chasing the monster instead of the monster coming to me.

Thank you! Regarding the dive bomb, I was testing Risen Vlastrax and could not get strong arm to its attack. In Amatsu's video you can see how I use strong arm on normal Valstrax's dive bomb attack (kzbin.info/www/bejne/m6mzpH5ma7h7gck). I use a generic set with Frostcraft in this video.

I've been playing for years and still do not understand how to predict certain attacks with that level of accuracy. Some just feel so random and without someone spelling it out for me I fear I may never get it. What is your best tip to learning to predict monster attacks and the exact window of time you have to charge your attack??? And how do you know when the monster will fall down from your attack instead of continuing to kill you?

Honestly not a bad order to learn gs. You'll be really disappointed trying to go for style shots without mastering fundamentals. Even trying to go for tcs constantly will make gs feel bad if you aren't good at finding windows
