I love the truth you bring to connecting to the land. Too many think we could waltz in willy-nilly and expect the land to accept us. It takes time to develop the trust necessary and we have to get to know their world. Fairies live by different rules than humans and we have to be mindful and respectful.

I feel what you said very deeply about knowing there is something more, but not being able to grasp it. Going from a “belief” to “non-belief”. Trying to find that connection. Getting to know the land and it’s persons is something I know I need to do, but have been failing at terribly. Too often other things are allowed to take precedence because of the pressure from society and it’s norms. When all I know I really long for is quiet in nature. I know this because it brings me peace when I do make time to silence myself and allow the earth and it’s persons to speak with me. Thank you for the reminder that I need to make this a priority. I wish you peace my friend.

I love this series. This video was just what I needed to hear right now. Main take away for me; I need to be patient. I need to give to the landvaettir/beings, spend time there and allow them to get to know me and what I am about, without letting my own expectations get in the way. Thank you, Arith . You're the absolute best. Also, love your intro music 🤘and that you had a visitor for a bit. I thought they were going to walk down and visit you for a moment.

My dearest Arith, I stumbled over your Chanel and your work just a shy few weeks ago, so please excuse me commenting on a somewhat 'older' but nevertheless important and beautifull video of yours. I just wanted to express my awe and thanks for your work and for everything you explain so very well - both in detail and depth - but with a big entertaining factor as well. Your videos touch on everything I am highly interested in: the craft, the mind, our european roots (since I live in Germany and come from an old family line of germanic and slavic people) and the old traditions and beliefs. I did and still do learn quite a lot from your videos and you encourage me so much to research and dig deeper for more and an even better understanding. So it is very much about time to say: thank you Arith! I am binge watching and rewatching your catalouge of topics and I do look forward to whatever you will talk about next. With love and admiration from Berlin❤

A beautiful beginning to the video and the message is good too. People are not all the same and even with a clear example of how to do things; some will have problems. If not at first, then just accept that it will take awhile. I've achieved a lot but it has taken a long time to get here - Friday was my 69 birthday. Don't try to force things, just keep your eyes open and you will see things eventually. Also there are others who will say things from time to time, that will help you.

I have been living in the upland desert of Sedona, Arizona USA for 31 yrs. The area has scrub forests all around the houses. Besides your Acquisition of Magic videos, I am learning the Buddhist practice of Mindfulness. I was walking my dog, a Heeler, and I stopped to talk to a neighbor. She pointed out a Bobcat(Lynx) crossing 15 feet in front of us. I grab my dog's harness while this beautiful feline froze. I shifted into mindfulness and spoke to the Lynx that it was safe, no harm would come to it, and it could go back into the forest. On another occasion, I was cleaning the water tank I have in the yard for the wild animals which I refilled and spoke saying - "Father Forest the tank is clean and filled with water for your creatures". I went back into the house and looked out a window where I could see the tank, 4 to 5 Javelinas (Peccaries) were at the tank.

To get to know the land... To see it change through many, many seasons; to see it endure floods, fires, drought... To know the flora and fauna... To know from sound alone what is approaching; to identify species of plants regardless of season and state of growth/change... To learn the history of peoples who dwelt there before... Aside from rituals, offerings, time spent in certain states of mind, there are many ways for us to truly get to know the land...through the five senses plus intellectual knowledge; but also through "other" senses and knowledge 😉. Very good video as always, Arith! Always something good to start my Odin's Days. This series in particular is quite interesting, friend👍 (This was a topic I wanted to write about and maybe even make a video about. As has happened before, you have beat me to it and done a MUCH better job!)

Great Video series of yours, which i just came to explore in depth. Regarding the spirits of places: in my hometown there is a fine villa district built on what was historically the execution site/gallows and a burial place for those executed. I find many people living there in the modern Villas suffering from sudden and strange neurological diseases.🤔

I really appreciate what you said in the first 5 minutes. upbringing , family etc - alot of competition and little opportunity. i got told continuously try harder, why can't you it's easy sort of thing. i grew up surrounded by musicians. All of them played guitars. i have two guitars, still own the one i bought when i was 12- but i can't play the damn things. Percussion - that i'm very good at. Singing is my gift. But don't ask me to play baseball or anything sports like, but i am a good dancer. I think we all have things that if we were encouraged would find those gifts sooner. By the way, magic i do believe in - and i think it's a very individual gift as well. Thankyou so much for this . . .15 minutes in this is sinking into the conversations i have been having with my selves while i am sick. I managed to get out for a bike ride, and sat on a rock and talked to the trees and rabbits. That spot you are at is gorgeous and the hat is perfect. I'll continue watching after a nap 7am and not to bed yet

Sometimes I think about all the countless people that have existed that never got the chance to be themselves and never had the opportunity and means to express their own artistic mind, and as such the world is somewhat lessened. The things we could have had, and the brilliant things that could have contributed to a better world, but were never brought forth. I do hope in the future people have more opportunities to express themselves and give something to the world that mitigates the more negative aspects of it. A simple painting, a little artistic expression, is already an active revolution against oppression. We need more encouragement to be ourselves and express it to the world.

@@ArithHärger so true - i think you are more optimistic than i am. and i hope your wish for that comes through. i have known such gifted people that have been crushed by depression or worse because they can't express their wonderful gifts - either by lack of acknowledgement or out right prevention. I have heard music that has save my life - more than once , not a small thing.

I actually now live about 200 Meters from where I was born in my grandmas house after years of residing elsewhere. I think the land called me back, but it is so different now, bunches of houses where there was nothing but meadows. I visit the older trees in the woods that I remember from my youth, sometimes talking to them. I feed the animals here and in the woods, try to help animals that are injured. But despite all this, I dont have the feeling of response, maybe its because I have no intent? What I do, it just feels natural to do. I wish I could find a connection to a helpful spiritual entity, spiritual animal, or whatsoever. I will try what you suggested, getting more informed about the history of these places, what took place here before my time and so on. Thank you for the video

When I wrote my earlier comments I had paused the vid right after A began talking about inheritance. Then when I returned more and more he spoke of things I was deeply in touch with in my past. Mother quit babysitting when I was 4 after roughly six years of doing so. That is when I began "zoning out". Idk what those other children saw when I was zoning out but they had very extreme emotional reactions that lead to their parents finding other daycare options. Thank you, Arith, for connecting dots that time had blurred or caused me to forget altogether. Renewed energy for me today.

I formed a deep and very meaningful relationship with a piece of land near my home. This land was purchased by a developer this past fall and was entirely leveled in way that felt as though any and all life there was disregarded. It has been a deep a painful loss for me as I mourn along with the spirits I had connected to there. It is still there and I can still feel it but so much less so. I have been struggling this spring as it is not waking up for this winter in the same way. I feel that if only the land had been approached and the events that were going to take place were explained and offerings could have been made perhaps it could have been less traumatic for those who lived there. Perhaps my friends would be waking up again this spring.

I would like to say that there may be an advantage to things not coming easily. I do not know for sure, as my personal experience was being burst wide open at a young age and running with other eager, young, magically gifted yet not very trained and disciplined people. We forced ourselves to fly and fight with all kinds of nasty things before we had barely learned to crawl. It left us hurt and chronically ill, physically. I shut down except for healing magics and basic self purification practices for the last decade. I am now starting over, slowly. Relearning with discipline and peace. I think it may be much better to be someone who comes to their gifts slowly, steadily, and in peace than the original path i and my friends took. I am happy to have found your sound knowledge and advice, Arith. Thank you for sharing it.

Being of French Gypsy lineage manouche and pagan today and a military bratt we moved all the time!!! yes you're correct you need to bond with the land that you're in ,,or get to know it. I guess being of Gypsy lineage I understand that being from a ancestor nomadic lifestyle to a modern nomadic lifestyle being a military child and a military wife It is ingrained in me to learn the land everywhere that I go. I think it actually strengthened my magical practice and able to contact plethora of magical energies to come..... all the creatures and all the lands have been very receptive to my being there. We have to remember we're creatures of the world of our planet not of just one location.

I'm pretty sure I've over shared on a post or two. I come off strange and really probably just overwhelmed on how relieving to have someone talk about this process. I don't think I've heard anyone go through it with such care and tack. I had no clue when entering magic thar I'd run into the same type of people I ran into while living on the streets as a youth. I was very trusting and only wanted to understand others beliefs to understand them and make an educated move. I ended up disheartened. Building my trust up with myself again has been a weird place ATM. I believe I know what I'm not and I needed to get dirty for a time to know that I guess. But I wish I spent less time on it as I'm old enough to dearly know how important it is to need stability and time is a thing weather we respect it or not

I don't say if I can do it so can you. What I do say if I can find my true hearts path, you can as well. But they will not be the same path because no one can walk the same exact path. For example all 3 of us here, meaning my husband, my daughter, and myself. There are things we do, work together. However all 3 of us have our own way and path and we respect each other's ways.

okay, so i didn't know if you wanted a share, At a time i used to be able to softly go into a place. when i was there, i was also aware of the human world, it was really like having a foot in each place. it was easy to do anytime if i was playing music, singing - but not having a conversation. Any time i found things too stressful i could just sort of 'step' and be there. the smell and experience of trees sky animals was much different, clearer and intense of colour and there was 'no time' It was something i was always aware of being able to do since i was a child and When i did any sort of 'healing work' like massage or Reiki etc i found the focus was much better for me and the other person. All of my poems were based on the visits to others. When i had an accident and acquired brain injury the ability to write songs and poetry left and later i would find that that 'ability' would leave too. And i feel like i lost a large part of my life and pieces of my identity . I go to any place i can find animals - they visit and i am grateful. but i feel like that awkward human lump sitting on a rock.
