Sorry when I relocate to the Phoenix valley I'll move to North Scottsdale. Been there 3 times. Was there in late September, May and July. Heat is no problem. I'll take it over humidity and dew point, grey skies most of the year in Chicago.

Your videos are really helpful. We are moving from Reno, NV to Oro Valley to be with grand kids!

It’s the dew point & humidity, way more than the sunshine.

You need 2 homes, one in Phoenix or Tucson area, one in show low or Prescott, maybe Flagstaff. You drop around 4 degrees for every 1000 feet in elevation. Phoenix is around 1000 feet, Tucson is around 2000 feet. Prescott 6000 feet, Flagstaff 7000 feet.

Jeff, I currently reside in San Antonio, Texas. I have been considering moving to Gilbert, Az. Over here, there is a butt load of humidity May to mid September. I am disabled and live on a fixed income. I'm not registered currently in Phoenix for government housing. How would I begin the process? I am looking to live in Glendale. I enjoy seeing your videos of the different towns/cities of Az thank you Jeff

Anywhere in Eastern or Northern AZ is cooler than the desert in the summer, but gets too much rain (believe it or not). Places like Prescott and Flagstaff it rains every day in July, August and September (monsoon season)

If you want a happy medium you need to be around 5000 feet in elevation. That would be Prescott, Bisbee, or Payson. You can go out and enjoy the weather in the summer as it is not too hot, and it's not too cold in the winter. Other than that you need two homes. One in the Valley and one in the high country. Prescott has some culture, 3 colleges, shopping, and is very safe as crime is very low. Probably the best place to live in all of the Southwest. Silver City in New Mexico is pretty nice as well but it's in New Mexico and this video is about Arizona. However if you are considering moving to the Southwest, check out Silver City. Very beautiful as is Prescott and Payson.

I prefer Tornado than 110. Heat is crazy for me, Eastern European :). Back in 1980' some lithuanian men were in Afghanistan (as part of Soviet Union military in this country). Those, who were deployed in Kabul were more lucky, but the weather in Southern Afghanistan (Kandahar) was brutal

Huntsville, Alabama, it’s the greatest weather after California and it’s ranked the number 1 city to live here in USA. Search! The temperatures are not very drastic like in other parts of the country. I love to live here! ❤️🇧🇷

Where is the best and affordable place to move in Arizona?
@Michael-jo9jz5 жыл бұрын
Woulden't say best to live, but Apache Junction is very liveable. Plenty of shopping, amenities, and a much lower cost of living compared to the rest of the East Valley.

Michael Pileggi why "wouldn't say best place to live"? Less expensive and things to do sound like a good thing. Curious. I'm scoping out AZ from Oregon. Want to move.

Do you ever plan to go back to Austin? It seemed like you liked it in your Island Hopper video, but then in another Living In Arizona video it seemed like you didn’t care for it too much.

92/66 for the high and low in July and 61/34 in December....to me, this is the best climate in Arizona and better than anywhere in the US except Cali

I like Kingman better, similar temps to Sierra Vista, but doesn't get the daily deluges of summer rain that Sierra Vista gets during monsoon season. Kingman is 55/30 in Jan 98/70 in July. April is 73/44 and October is 77/49. Not bad

PLEASE HELP - Hey Jeff - Just seeing this today on Oct 8 and I live in Wilson county Tennessee the next county east of Davidson/Nashville... I want to leave Tennessee and go to Arizona - NO doubt - I have been hoping to hear from people who moved from Tennessee to Arizona and how they like or compare it and why they left TN... For me I hate this humidity, Ice and snow and most of all I spend 110% of my time doing mowing, picking up dropped tree limbs , NO end to the yard work here ( i6 acres of wooded land and in a log cabin that is)... Yep running from "snow and humidity for sure... Soak & wet/drenched in minutes when I go out to work in yard.

Thank you for the information. However, you might want to improve your videos with actual examples of the area, statistics and photos or videos. Many KZbinrs presenting subjects focus mainly on their own image and that is not want watchers want to see. Anyone can sit in a little rooom and talk about a subject but it does not make it very interesting. Just some constructive comments. Have a great day!
