@@SalisburySnake I had some time and wanted to be nosey and checked what they did for work 😂 The husband is a golf superintendent at BlueStar Resort & Golf up in North Scottsdale (found him on LinkedIn)... the guy makes like $90k+ a year. Unsure what the wife actually does, but a random LinkedIn page popped up with her name and she lives in Gilbert, has her listed as Fitness Instructor over at Mountinside Fitness in SanTan. I don't think they're actually hurting for money, I think they're just exaggerating to gain sympathy from the general public. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if their "employee work trips" was them actually selling a "Club 33 employee package" to these employees and making some side money off those seats they sold and everyone is under the impression it's a "small" ticket price for the meal. I want Disney to DIG and spill the beans in public court lol

That's clearly a case where the lawyer of the couple is at least negligent. They don't have a ban of the whole park only a ban on a tiny, overrated private, profit oriented area. A non negligent lawyer would have spoken openly to them and put things in perspective. It was a decision not based on race, gender, religion... just a different perception what is drunk or a medical issue. 400,000 USD on legal fees. Just imagine seeing the world with a fraction of the money and investing the rest.

They made the mistake of thinking a private business has to follow the legal due process procedures that the government has to. “They didn’t breathalyze”. Yeah, they don’t have to. They don’t really have to “prove” your guilt like the government must. I’m sure the agreement also has language that basically lets Disney remove people from the club for any reason that isn’t discriminatory. That’s how private business rights work.
@beadymore10 күн бұрын
Ding ding ding! This right here. As someone who has worked behind a bar for most of my adult life, I am under no obligation to "prove" a person is intoxicated to cut them off and/or eject them from my bar. In fact, my state mandated training (Texas) explicitly instructs me to make a visual assessment of someone's behavior and act based upon that. We reserve the right to refuse service to ANYONE, regardless of how much money they've spent at the establishment historically. If you have a medical condition or are taking medication that will cause you to display signs of intoxication quicker than the average person, drink at home or go drink at some dive bar that doesn't care how drunk you get, but don't bring that into my place because you WILL find yourself cut off.

An exclusive and, to all intents and purposes, a private club such as The 33 Club has their own set of rules. This is not being pulled over on the roadside for a possible DUI situation where you have the right to a Breathalyzer and/or blood test. They don't have to do this. You were found to be intoxicated in this instance (after receiving a warning letter in 2016 for a previous infraction of 33 Rules) and that's it. Unless you have access to beaucoup bucks, I would take this a lesson learned the hard way and not pursue the lawsuit. (P.S. No, I'm not in the 33 Club. I've been to Disney World once in my 64 years and was a cast member at a Disney Store for a couple of years.)

Surprised they’d even bring attention to it. I guess they think people don’t know what it really is.

There's probably more secretive stuff going on in that club cause it's not open to the public. Doesn't make sense how Disney wants a private 33 club in a children's theme park🤔
