Look at the open road. I visited Arizona and it was a pleasure to drive there. The people were very hospitable. It's is a beautiful state.

Hi Russ always enjoy your videos. Especially from Kingman Bullhead area. Lived there 8 years was in elementary school in Bullhead and went to high school in Kingman . yep rode school bus 35 miles one way to high school. Didst have the nice for lane rode over Union Pass it was two lane twisty mountain rd. Dad worked at the dam was an operator. Guess I wont ever make it back there again. So enjoy see it as is now thanks to you. Saw what we called finger rock in drone footage. Up near top on the old rd. there used to be a gas station. probably not there now. 😊

I agree with you Russ about Vegas. Last time I was there was about ten years ago and I doubt I'll ever return. I grew up in Phoenix, and Laughlin is a lot like Vegas was when I was a kid. My parents would go there from time to time, and they'd talk about how cheap the buffets were and how affordable the entertainment was. I also recall hearing radio ads for The Riviera and Aladdin Hotels. All are long gone now.

I've been to that exact Davis Dam/Laughlin area 2 years ago while camping at Katherine Landing. It was my first ( and only ) time to check out that whole area...Where does all that water come from in the desert? Colorado and Wyoming. How do they feel about losing all their water to Arizona?

Bureau of Reclamation {who operates Davis Dam) is an odd title. They are "reclaiming arid lands for human use through water supply." To me it means there was water there before.
