Hello Russ ! I remembered seeing this particular Arizona landscape a long time ago (the Salt River Canyon). I was not even so sure in what part of the State it was in. I visited in January 1979 and have never been back there. Your video makes a lot of memories well up in my mind, I should visit next time I am in Arizona. Cheers ! RICHARD

Russ these videos of AZ mean a lot to me. I left Arizona in 2009 for Colorado and miss AZ so much. This last time, it has been three and a half years since my last time there. You are filling a void I have for AZ. Thanks so much for the time and expertise to make these trips so meaningful. I'm moving back to AZ soon. Maybe, I will see your van here CO before I go. Beautiful drive from Show Low.

My parents took us across country in 1964, New Jersey to California. It was the trip of a life time and I didn't know how privileged I was. We stopped in ShoLow just after dark, filled up with gas (we only had about 1 gal left). We got some dinner and then headed to Phoenix driving it around midnight. When we got to my uncles house he told us we went through an amazing canyon. So I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate you showing me what we all missed 59 years ago. A huge Thank you!

Back in the 1970s, when I was in high school, the Arizona driver's manual had photo of the Salt River Canyon on the cover. Wonder if the state even publishes a driver's manual anymore. Back then we all studied it so we could get our learner's permits and driver's licenses.

The canyon is crazy fun on a motorcycle and I've driven it a couple times back and forth just for the fun of it. A good day ride is from Mesa up state route 87 to Payson then the 260 through Heber - Overgarrd to Show Low and then the 60 down through the Salt River Canyon to Globe and back to Mesa. Route 87 from Mesa is called the Beeline Highway and is an incredibly beautiful ride to Payson.

I was Sooo Blessed to Visit AZ from May thru September, 2022. Based in SHOW LOW💝 Sooo Loved it there. Was Hoping I could find a way to stay there It's sooo Awesome !!! Sure beats NYS. But I, Thankfully, had someone to get me places. Because I wouldn't want to Drive there !!! Crazier than NY(not the City~ FingerLakes, 72 Years.) Here I'd thought AZ was ALL desert 🏜️. Never had an idea about Mountains !!!!!! Sure are on the 8 million Acres Apache Reservation in Cibeque. Wonderful there in that whole region of AZ. Wish I'd have gotten to see more Glad, Somehow, Your channel came up. Thank You. 😊 Saw the Unbelievable Salt Canyon on way up from Phoenix, after Flight.

I'm watching some of your older videos from last year. We took that hwy 60 route in the opposite direction, early last April...And we had never been in that area of Arizona before. It was stunning indeed. While you were on that older pedestrian bridge looking down, you could see the hand railings precariously hanging on the cliffs edge above the river. They have blocked off access to that area now. But people were still going down there. Might have gotten too dangerous. Thanks for taking us along.

Hey Russ! Great vid! Love your Arizona content. I hope to retire in AZ if the good lord allows it! Please keep producing AZ contend when you can. I’m taking it all in, Brotha! You are my eyes, as far as checking out locations in the state. Much appreciated! If you get a chance, I would love to see a vid on the ski areas of AZ! There’s not many, so should be pretty easy for a guy like you. I’m a former Ski Patrolman and would still like to slide down the slopes in retirement. Ha ha! Arizona Snow Bowl and Sunrise Park are the two I’m interested in. Hopefully in the next year or so I can make a decision on where I want to be in AZ! That is if all the stars, moon, and sun align! Again, love your vids! You are the best my friend! God Bless! 😎

one of my favorite drives in the world! i make it at least once a summer, if not multiple times.... do yourself a favor, next time youre in globe stop by "burger house" or La Cocina de Casillas... get you a green mix burro. you wont be disappointed! best green chile ive ever had quick note after you mentioning envisioning how people got around without bridges etc... there are alot of places along this drive that you can still see "old highway 60" which is the old dirt road they used to have to take from superior up to show low before the roads were improved post-WW2. my grandpa used to tell stories about driving on it. cool stuff. you can hike much of it if youre feeling spry

Long ago I drove it a few times going from Tuscon to Farmington or Cortez Co. I drove across the old bridge. I recall there was a small store with gas pumps once, it looks like that's all gone. I took a zig-zag on I-40 then went north on Highway 666 back then through the Navajo reservation another very long drive.
