Wow, Santee, Johnny Ringo! Without going into too much detail, Johnny wasn't a bad man. He just hanged around bad people as an optive for Law, and he was found out and lured into a trap, and because he was excellent with the pistol, he was shot by a member of gang he was with. His father drank a lot and slipped off the wagon shot himself. When the video started, I wondered if the same conclusion was found, in my opinion, he was a hero. What a surprise to see this today! Thank you Santee.

It is always good to see and hear the real stories of Johnny Ringo. I found out years ago from my Grandmother, That Johnny Ringo is a distant Cousin of ours. One of the many things that was not known about Johnny Ringo in what was told about him. Is Johnny Ringo was a very nice man when he was not drinking. From what my Grandmother said was one of her cousins who knew Johnny said many wonderful things about how he had a heart of gold for others and his family as well. But it is always intriguing to find out I'm actually related to someone Portrayed in the Movies Tombstone and The Gunfighter.

Reading the coroner report you had on the screen, his pistol ammunition belt was upside-down , a shirt and hose on his feet instead of boots tells me he surprised while resting and had to run away in a big hurry.

People lately have been saying that tombstone is historically correct yet it portrays the death of Bill brocious fictiously and Jonny Ringo and completely ignores the fact the ears weren't in Arizona at the time of ringos death it's one hell of a good western themed action movie but with all movies it's more fiction than anything Thanks for posting a true account of rings death

The Dec. 14, 1879, edition of the Arizona Daily Star stated: “Last Tuesday a shooting took place at Safford in which Louis Hancock was shot by Johnny Ringo. It appears Ringo wanted Hancock to take a drink of whiskey, and refused, saying he would prefer beer. Ringo then struck him over the head with his pistol and fired, the ball taking effect in the lower end of the ear and passing through the fleshy part of his neck. Half an inch more in the neck would have killed Hancock. Ringo is under arrest.”

I was known as the "Mango Kid" in the town of Mimosa, Arizona back in the Old West. Men like Chuck Norris, Texas Ranger, would run out the back of a saloon, crying like a baby girl, when I would push through the swinging doors in the front. More than once I made Clint Eastwood cringe as I made his day.

Ringo was in Austin. He misplaced, lost or someone stole his small purse during a card game. He got a pistol and searched the other game players demanding the purse back. Marshall Ben Thompson heard of it and drug Ringo out of his hotel room. Ringo was fined for his action. Ringo had a reputation, Ben Thompson was the real deal.

Very awesome, interestingly informative and inspiring video, I really liked and enjoyed it, I learned a lot about Johnny Ringo from the old west frontier era, who I didn’t know anything about until now, thanks for the interesting new information on the old west, I really liked learning something new. Great job and well done, keep up the great work, I got a ton of inspiration for the old west frontier era/retro-vintage eras inspired paranormal ghost story-adventure/weird surrealist-retrofuturistic sci-fi fantasy story/series I’m writing and revising. I’m thinking about having my one of my story’s main characters be a outlaw type character, well a former outlaw turned sheriff anyway. The character in my story that was a former outlaw is Thomason thatcher, who is now the sheriff of Faron township and the adoptive father of Mercia Hawkins. Today I’ll be working on writing a scene where Thomason is confronted by a frightening human like ghost apparition, while investigating a old rundown house in a abandoned frontier ghost town with his adoptive son Mercia Hawkins. During that confrontation with the human like ghost with a circler mouth with razor sharp teeth in it, Thomason has a memory flash into his mind of when he was nine years old and apart of a outlaw cult like group. That memory was when the outlaw cult that his father was a leader of attacked a similar frontier town back on the mainland island of Alessaeia. The island he and Mercia are on during the scene is the neighboring island of WoodFall isle.
