As an interested layman, I found this lecture to be an easy to follow and fascinating overview of physics, not sure what order the lectures run in but can't wait to watch the rest. Brilliant, thank you.

I'm not sure why a court case, a matter of law, would be any reason for bringing the current state of physics to the people who in largest part fund this research? And how would a theory of intelligent design threaten the "scientistism industrial complex" (just made up this term now) unless there is some latent fear that the theory of the ultimate cause of all materiality might cause folks to perhaps believe in a creator God? The theory of intelligent design does nothing to displace the ongoing project of normal science. Why the fear?

Point particles have been found to be fields so the so called strings are actually little vortexes of electromagnetic energy. Just as stars are giant vortexes of electromagnetic energy fields and Black holes too, for that matter.

Physics = the study of abstract truths that lawfully govern the physical objects...? But by common definition, abstracta are void of any instrumental power. So this definition of physics is either poorly worded, or physics is predicated upon some other more fundamental field of inquiry - say philosophy?
