I use both partially because I like argies. Also sometimes moschops ask for things I don’t have early game so I can’t finish the tame. Argies are really quick and easy with just a few pieces of raw prime. & they end up being really useful at low levels as well since they can carry so much weight.

*PRO TIP FOR ANY NEWCOMERS HERE:* You do not need 6 different dino types for your kibble farm! Any dino that you can tame with kibble, can be tamed with the tier 6 (light blue) extraordinary kibble. So for example, an Ankylosaurus is a tier 3 kibble dino (i.e. it prefers regular kibble). However, you can use tier 4, 5, or 6 kibble, and it will be just as effective. The unwritten rule of this current kibble system is that wild dinos can be tamed by their kibble tier or any tier above them. An Ankylo can be tamed at max 100% effectiveness with a tier 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 kibble, but not with anything lower than its tier. An ankylo *cannot* be tamed with max effectiveness if you use a kibble tier that is lower than its given tier (i.e. tier 1 or 2 kibble). So don't use all that space for 6 different groups of dinos, each with different kibble recipes and eating trough requirements (i.e. herbivore, carnivore, piscitarian (dinos that only eat fish), or scavengers (dinos that only eat spoiled meat). Instead, use that space for a larger number of tier 6 dinos, like the golden egg hesperornis, or (what i use) Yutyrannus's. Because it makes crafting the kibble much easier in so much as to keep track of and keep in stock all the necessary ingredients, leaves more room in your refrigerator storage for other items or a greater stockpile of tier 6 kibble ingredients, and you save time by only having to care for 1 dino type instead 6 different ones. P.S. If you don't think you can produce enough extraordinary kibble to tame all your future dinos, you can set up a second larger farm using the space you would have used for 2 or 3 other kibble tier farms, of tier 3 dinos only (regular kibble) and use that for all your tier 3 and below tames. So, this way, you can save all your extraordinary kibble (tier 6) for the tier 4, 5, and 6 dinos only, instead of using extraordinary kibble to tame something like a dodo or a parasaur. As for your garden, if you do not have a lot of space for one you can stack your crop plots on top of eachother. I suggest only stacking large on other large, medium on other medium, and small on top of other smalls. Do not put different size plots in the same stack.

An Anky requires tier 3 kibble (regular kibble) for the best possible taming effectiveness. @@JayCapo When the change happened we already had a bunch of theri's and rex's and promptly killed off over 100 dinos we had for the old methood kibble farm. You still will need the other kibble types for imprinting but you can stick to dinos you use, like ankis and such for that vs a huge kibble farm to have them all. You can tame a low level theri in no time, thats all you really need to start out at to start getting the kibble to than tame higher level ones.

The raptors have the added benefit of being small and you can line them up butt first. That kibble is essential for taming bees. On 2x taming event speed it takes only 1 simple kibble and it’s an instant tame. For Ankys, I made a single row of trap door frames (no doors) over top of a high traffic area of my base. It takes some positioning to get it right so the eggs fall through the trap door, but after that, you just pick up the eggs when you walk through the area.

You failed to mention that oviraptors boost egg production and thus could replace raptors for not only laying eggs but boosting all other dinos around them. My list of the 6 dinos for egg farm matches yours except the Yutyrannus is now in the special egg class.

I went with terror bird for the regular just to save some space, you will always get extra eggs from other tames anyway. Also easy way to get the big eggs for exeptional kibble early game is to take a flight close to the main river, there are always enough brontos dropping eggs on the shores ;)

I'm in agreement with the raptor, over trike. since...I feel like a smaller dino means you can have your egg factory more compact. you could easily fit at least six raptors in the space of one trike. huh? But by that logic, you could totally fit at least four terror birds in the Anky slot. alternatively, Turtles would be an easier tame. *extended: the arguement of "you already have these dinos might as well get eggs from them anyway. is a good arguement. But it doesn't intrinsically answer the question of what is the best. if, other dinos had enhanced egglaying rates like the Dodo's that would give them a leg up, or were easier tames like the Turtle should give nearly equal mention. For me, I'd probably prioritize a smaller, more efficient egg factory, and thus would likely favor Therazino's for the exceptional eggs over Trikes. [I kinda like the tickle chicken, as well.] It's a great video, and lots of useful info, but you're being a little biased on your view of that arguement of what you already have a lot of.

For my exceptional kibble I found it easiest to tame yuties. You don’t need a lot of narcotics so I just tame low level ones since they’re just for eggs. Once I get enough of it I can use to to get rexes and get better yuties to use for the boss fights. You can build a taming pen with ramps going down each side, just use stone door frames and 2 high should be enough, I went higher so that I could lure rexes and mammoths into it also. I did 3x3 stone foundations but you can use fence foundations for less materials. If it gives you trouble placing the ramps / stairs then place a stone foundation below the stairs and you can remove it later once you’ve connected all three ramps all the way down. The building part might be a little irritating if you’re not use to ark

My goal of a new kibble farm is choosing all dino's that don't move! What I mean is no tail swinging, no giant body, or large hit box. I want to build one that won't add lag to my base, I also turn off allie look and whistle all too. My plans are have Dodo, pego, turtle, moschops, theriznos. All berry eaters too. Means my kibble farm can run off regular trough not tek since berries don't spoil like meat. I plan on breeding all these dino's so I have high level ones so less likely to stave to death as fast.

I use the tiny, flying Dimorphodons, instead of Raptors for the Simple Kibble. I put them all on passive, and ignore group whistles. I make a shelf from some catwalks, and just throw them up on the wall. They take up no space, and drop loads of eggs. I leave mine on permanent mating, and get even more eggs.

I've been using Deinonychus eggs since I find them much easier to get than Wyvern eggs lol. Wyverns are hell bent on seeing you dead once you pluck their eggs from the nest, but Deinonychus are easy to distract and lead off cliffs.

The Best one for regular kibble is the turtle egg. They are easier to tame than the anky and are also really good at tanking and distracting enemy dinos while you shoot them with arrows, also good at swimming, decent weight and high amounts of health.

UPDATE: You can ignore a few different dino tiers and just go for 3 different kibble recipes. Kibble dinos can be tamed with equal effectiveness using an equal or greater tier of kibble. A tier 3 dino like an Ankylosaurus is best tamed with regular (blue) kibble OR tier 4, 5, or 6 kibble works with equal effectiveness. Reducing your kibble farm to 2 or 3 tiers of dinos greatly reduces the amount of space taken up in your refrigerators/preserving bins, allows for more room to fit an extra few dinos used to make your 2 or 3 varieties of kibble, reduces the variety of food needed to keep them fed from the feeding troughs, and makes managing the kibble farm MUCH easier; especially for smaller tribes or solo players. Personally, when I start out, I tame dodos, then I get rid of them to make room for Anky's or turtles (Carbonemys) as soon as I have access to tranq arrows, though I personally prefer the turtles, because they take up less space and they don't have an annoying tail always pushing me out of the way. By mid-late game, my kibble farm will consist of tier 3 dinos (because by this time I have no need for any tier 1 or 2 dinos), a large group of tier 5 dinos (because 90+% of the dinos you will tame at this point will prefer tier 4 or 5 kibble), and a few tier 6 (because you only need a couple of dinos from this tier). All solely for producing eggs for kibble.

My opinion based on usefulness. Get tek parasaurs, tek raptors, tek stegos, and tek rexes. Breed em and farm the babies and steal the eggs. You get meat (prime), oil, scrap metal, electronics, and element dust. If you have a chainsaw available to you on your server use this to harvest. This requires some prior thought to make work but i litterally dont have to farm oil or metal, silica pearls were mostly useful for electronics which i dont need anymore and im getting element dust and as long as engram is available you can turn into unstable element which then turns into element (unsure of official only play on my friends server)

My personal list is: Dilos for their eggs and because of their turret mode Trikes because they can also get me the berries for the recipes Carnos for the next one up because they can defend themselves (stupid large base, big enough where even placing foundations everywhere still get things occasionally spawning inside) Argies, because...yup. Rexes, because also eeeeyup. Extraordinary kibble though... I play on The Center, no drakes or wyverns. Only option is Hesperornis, cant bring myself to do the dance to get teir golden eggs again. Thankfully I got my Thylos and Yuty before the kibble rework so I dont really have to worry about it. I could get to Ragnorok for Wyvern eggs but...ugh, I dont want to load out and back in, go to a new map, build up, farm the eggs, transfer all the eggs, load out and back, repeat until crying. ****With the latest update, Yuty eggs now produce Extraordinary kibble, so theres what I'll be using for that! Wildcard actually came through here :D

Late to the party but just a heads up. For transport put the metal back on the anky cause it gets a bigger reduction than the argy. That way you can lift the anky with the bird to more nodes before returning home. Just move stone to the argy.

Basic Kibble - Dodo Eggs Simple Kibble - Pachy or Dimorphodon (both are easy to tame and easy to breed and fairly small) Regular Kibble - Terror Bird or Pulmonoscorpius (easy to take and smaller than the other choices) Superior Kibble - Moschops (easy tame and small creature) Exceptional Kibble - Rex or Therizino Eggs (both are equally painful but the Theri takes less space). Extraordinary Kibble - Golden Hesporonis if you have a small lake they can fish in while tethered or Yuttyrannus. I disgaree about the Island. We have our base in the Oasis and we have 4 Hesperonis swimming around that lake and tethered. They make so many golden eggs it's ridiculous. For those who don't know, the Hesperonis needs to kill 5 fish and it will lay an egg. The egg has a chance to be a golden egg. WE have disabled their harvesting and simply put a feeding trough at the bottom of the little lake and stock it with fish occasionally. Easy and LOADS of eggs.

I use oviraptors over raptors since I am going to have the oviraptors out anyway to increase the chance of multiples when hatching/birthing babies. I also use therizinosaurus as well as rexes because, well you are going to be using them anyway since they are one of the best all round gatherers in the game (wood, fiber, hide, mushrooms, rare flowers, etc). This one is a bit different since I only keep them out for eggs but I use scorpions for eggs over ankylosaurus. I still have ankylos out but the scorpions seem to have a higher egg drop rate. Finally, if you have access to Extinction you are likely going to be using snow owl eggs as well as Argentavis eggs because owls are simply awesome!

Love the idea of making the Kibble farm smaller especially for Console because of less lag on servers and especially for PvP. But I do feel a disconnect with all the nerfs and changes when it comes to PVE. PVE is different from PvP. I prefer PVE so I’m looking to tame every single Dino in the game and breed for mutations. So the simpler kibble makes it kinda more boring especially on PvE. Also the Flyer nerfs were a problem for PVP not PVE. So I wish that they had given that some thought. Because PvP is waaay different from PvE.

Rather than raptors I would actually use Pteras! They are more than likely going to be your first flyer and the easiest flyer to tame. They put out a good number of eggs too. Also,I must point out that hesperornis is in this category which means you could actually just get extras of those and they can work for making 2 kibbles. Dimorphs actually have a high output of eggs too and are not too bad to tame. Not only do you need eggs for kibble but you will need more than just regular meat,you will also need fish meat. This means that it may be a good idea to double down on regular kibble with a baryonx or a pelagornis. Pelagornis will give more eggs but both of these are really good at getting fish meat quickly. Lastly,Oviraptors. Oviraptors have the egg buff that will help with not only the eggs they lay but will help all the other dinos with laying eggs too. I am really surprised you did not mention oviraptors in this video.

Raptors almost never produce eggs for me unless I enable wandering/mating, I had a pack of 8 raptors 6 females and 3 trikes 2 female and the trikes produced way more eggs for me plus they're good berry gatherers. I prefer trikes personally.

So you need rex eggs to tame rexs' hmm...I thought they were making it to where all kibble would work on any dino and it was effected by size. I think they should have left preferred kibble as an option. I'm gonna miss taming pteranodons with dodo kibble.

I’m know I am a year late but I just need to say that moshchops are way better for superior than argies because they are easier to tame if you get lucky and it’s not that rare to find an easy to tame moshchops

Argys are super easy to tame and you want to breed them anyway - there'S one advantage and that is the Moschop's smaller size. In the end you just need a couple Yutys (again, want to breed them anyway) and beehives for extraordinary kibble (can be used for all creatures that take kibble).

Dodo, Raptor, thorny dragon, Argentavis, Rex/ Yuty were my choices for kibble, i live in the desert on rag so thorny dragons are right on my doorstep and easy, as for Argy/ Rex/ Yuty i just use my old breeders for producing kibble eggs

You really only need the therizinosaurus/rex eggs for exceptional kibble. all dinos tame at their kibble tier and above, and only the griffin, megalania, rock elemental, thylacoleo, and, yutyrannus need the tier above that, outside the rock elemental and thylacoleo, the other's all tame fine with mutton.

Pegomastax are also a good option for regular kibble due to them being smaller and requiring less resources and risk to tame. And they're way smaller, which means they require less space and food to keep them.

Am i missing something here because i tried putting the exact ingredients and an explorer note into a cooking pot and got a burger - i tried looking under the engrams tab to se if there were recopies to learn, but its not there. So do I need to search the island for the recipe's or what ??

yeah for the recipes you have to kill dinos and get them for example youll get lazerus chowder from killing a rex etc etc its a pretty high radom chance tho soo best of luck to you

Lol, definitely NOT an anky for regular kibble. Not only are they a massive pain in the ass to tame without ALREADY having kibble but they are also way bigger than scorpions. Go with scorpions, super easy to tame and they also use much less space. For superior, moschops, not even a question. Just get urself a ton of moschops.

what do you recommend for extraordinary kibble now? We've been using yuty eggs in our tribes that seems to work alright, but even with 8 mate boosted + oviraptor boosted females the eggs seem super slow

If its possible I would try steal a hell of a lot of deinonychus eggs instead of like a wyvern because deinonychus have lower health and they isn't agro to larger creatures like rexes and spino and such but you can only get them on valguero so it's not always easy if your on ragnarok or the island or just tame a hesperornis

This is baaaaddd the basic kibble dosent tame a dino that gives you simple kibble eggs and the simple will not tame a dino that gives you a regular kibblie egg. Theres no chain to this you only can tame dinos from the same egg size , this is bad for new players
