Hey phlinger, it might help you for future vids, end key will get rid of all the names and keep the menu :) Also you left out one important thing which is the eggs, they won't lay them too often unless you submerge them in water.

If you're playing PvE Raptors are pointless. They're fast sure, but hit 120 movement speed and you'll outrun most dinos, and the weight on raptors is trash. Great for PvP tho.

@@dillongage7628 I disagree, in later games yes they are pretty bad. BUT!!!!! Early on there amazing. Get 3 or 4 of these put a saddle on the strongest one add on the screech buff the get and they can be very good. I’ve killed Rex’s with just 3 of them before.

@@connerwills6802 for me it was more the fact that they're annoying to tame with the pounce attack. However they've removed the pounce attack which makes them a lot less frustrating, but a lot less useful as well. I just cant ever use one as a main mount. I hate being that limited on weight. They are fast but I've always felt that it was better to just go straight to Carnos if I can.

@@connerwills6802 wild ones arent supposed to be able to pounce anymore idk about tamed ones. And that could just be for my settings I've been playing solo the last month or so. They might have just disabled the pounce for solo play. Its super annoying in solo. If you dont have a tame with you, you're garunteed to die when you get pounced, or atleast break your armor if you have amazing armor. The Abberant and Corrupted Raptors can still pounce I believe.

Yes and if you get 1 (or up to 3) of these with 1000% melee you can hatch wyverns (for example you tame 3 of these and make their melee to 350, you put them close and you can hatch wyvs)

Hey man i was watching your video and all the torpor talk with the dimetrodon tame got me thinking. I understand the basic theory of torpor but i was wondering if you could do a video explaining torpor as part of your ark basics stuff. Does it take longer for the torpor to set in with a 560 damage longneck as opposed to a primitive version? Same with xbow's? This would be super appreciated!

people sleep on dimetrodons all the time and its hilarious. if bred right a dimetrodon can incubate wyvern and drake eggs for a 10th of the space and far less cost needed for 20 a/c units. Plus you dont have to fiddle with building around them like a/c units to keep your base looking nice in pve or worry that the noise will attract attention in pvp.

actually, wiki says 40 for narcotics, and notes that this is more than the raw narcoberries would give (which would actually be 37.5, not 35) on the other hand, using narcoberries has one advantage... the berries give 7.5 torpor over 3 seconds. the narcotics do 40 torpor over 8 seconds. but each narcotic or berry is counted in both time and torpor; if you give a dino 5 berries, torpor will rise by 37.5 over 15 seconds. if you give a dino 1 narcotic, torpor will rise by 40 over 8 seconds... which means the berries will make torpor rise for roughly twice as long. so if you have a trike or some other berry gatherer (personally, i prefer things that run faster than trikes) holding a ton of narcoberries ready, not only will it save you the bother of crafting the narcotics, it will also mean that you can go twice as long between having to worry about torpor. that said, you can stockpile a huge amount of narcotics and it will never spoil, it will still be waiting for you whenever you need it (not to mention it can actually be crafted into darts, which is not true for narcoberries) while the berries have a definite limit to their lifespan... so YMMV :P
