They have a great exploit for looking under the map. When you are riding them underground, go to the spyglass first person view. When they stop and burrow under, you can x-ray view under the map for death worms.

In the desert on the eastern side of the map there are salt deposits that will raise the Fasolasuchus torpidity faster. Best to have an Argentavis following you when you inevitably get bucked off. Bring grapples to get onto the Argentavis quicker. Ghillie and bug spray will help too if you get bucked off in the vicinity of the numerous Arthropleura and Mantis.
