So I tamed one of these last night, took forever at first. It was getting late and I needed to go to bed, so I said hell with it and bola'ed him/shot him with a shotgun a couple of times (it was high level one). I was thinking this would decrease taming efficiency, especially since I had already started feeding him - but it did not! After hitting him with chain bola and shotgun, I let him agro on me (inside the trap) and his food dropped like crazy. After that it was just a simple matter of hitting him with another chain bola and feeding up quickly. I also had a unique way of luring him to my trap. I saw a tropeognathus unfert egg on the ground near him, and picked it up. I basically had no problem luring him wherever I wanted from that point on. Hope those help someone. For reference, this was the patch version immediate after the Summer Bash 2020 event. Keep up the great videos Seeshell!

nice video as usual, just want to had one thing i did trap several tropeo using similar method, but instead of using an expensive chain bola for the first step i use regular bola that is much more cheaper, also i hit it a couple of time with my sword to make it lose hp and drop food faster then chain bola on the next step to feed it

3 pillars & 2 ceilings is all you need, bola it then place a pillar next to it's wing with a ceiling on top, same on the other side but might need to place the pillar a little further away for the ceiling to snap then place the 3rd pillar under it's neck

Much better trap. 21 pillars, 12 ceilings, 1 Dino gate and door. Place pillars like ... . ... with the Dino gate on the open side. Add ceilings. Ptera can fly through the gaps in pillars but trope can’t, works for argies and griffs too without all that messing about. Leave door unlocked and anyone can use it. People always hit me up in chat and say how good the trap is.

I found a max lvl way high up. Don't do what I did and torp it out of the air. makes it super easy to build a trap around it but it takes FOREVER to wake up because you can't stim its inventory. Was super scared of getting grabbed while kiting it back ot the ground on my griff.

Rexes dont usually spawn in redwoods. Try the middle of the map. 55, 50 ish

Is this first method still working? I am on official with 2x taming right now and it shows 35 minutes with 7 mutton. Will your fast method work for 7 mutton on 150?

depends on rates of official i am on x4 taming. still good to shoot it with chain bola then wait then when you chain bola it again feed it. but it depends on the rates.

from what I have been told using bolas on the trops doesn't work anymore. you can use meat but if you are going after one i would wait until you have the kibble. it is so much faster and easier with kibble. with meat you could spend hours but it could take you no time at all to farm the resources so that you can get the kibble.

As a KZbinr putting up helpful vids for taming and so on please let people know just releasing a passive tame on pve causes nothing but problems. They can only be tamed by the tribe that started the tame and have to be killed , people use this as a troll method as it is let alone people who are new seeking advice on taming and are not aware. If you knock out a wyvern please kill it while it’s sleeping because it can’t be tamed after waking up and I find them all over that are high lvl but someone removed the crystals and let it go. Also no one but tribe can use a turret someone else sets down and we are getting the map littered with taming trash such as spike walls left over fence foundations and walls and more making it to where others can’t trap or have a safe tame. Taking a moment to include a small note or just reminder to do so would save a lot of stress for everyone on pve who has to deal with all the headaches that come along with trolls and new players learning. Thank you

You shouldn't even use the kibble the kibble is trash compared to Mutton it's three times faster I don't know why but if you use mutton you only have to wait like about 5 minutes compared to kibble is like 15 minutes try it out
