I like that you added the mistakes too, so that others can learn from them. You've no doubt saved someone from making that same mistake. I'm also glad you mentioned that you can charge batteries inside of them. I haven't seen anyone else mention that yet. A potential use for that is to mount auto-turrets on your Stryder and use batteries to power them.

You forgot to mention how the saddlebags/mining drill collector reduce inventory weight by 65% or so, combining it with the excavation rig is awesome. Also you can move them around using teleporter pads. I was amazed at the linking to tek storage thing, that is incredible!

I had a play with the dedicated storage mechanic, I love it! The button which unloads automatically into nearby dedicated storages is so convenient.

Should be using pick axe way way more mutagel than mining drill also mining pick way better than mining rig on Tek strider also On 4x gathering can mine 1000 mutagel with pick in one cycle with primative metal pick ascendant of course even more 20 per node+ usually Also On PS4 single player... If you're looking for a combat tek stryder, maybe one that has both canon modules, than I would wait till you've completed a good amount of missions so you can tame a high level. If you're looking for one that has the harvesting module though you would be fine taming a low level, their stats are so high that even if you're taming a lower level like a 20 than you will have more than enough weight to make it a proper gatherer

So, if the stryder is linked to a dedicated storage unit the range doesn't matter? I assume you can link it only to one unit at the time, or can you add more units? Last question would be if the settings on the stryder reset when you are uploading it to a transmitter and pull it back out somewhere else.

once they are linked you have an unlimited range that you can send resources back from, you can only link one at a time but if you were moving base and had a lot of resources to transport, link the stryder to storage at your new base and move him to your old one. load up, say for example all you crystal. have a friend move the crystal from that temp storage to a permenant one and then he can change the linked storage to something like metal ingots and it will stay linked. im not sure if the settings are saved after uploading

@@PandemoniumMeltDown you could but you would have to empty the contents of the dedi storage into the quetz and switch it to what ever the new item is. but again if you have a friend back at base you can send the resources straight home and have him do the switching. also a tek skiff if one has access to one has more weight then a quetz and a skiff can also pick up the stryder.

Of course no problem. I hope it helps. i had to do the missions for this and i will say that they are much more enjoyable. The reason I say that is that there are not as many but it really makes you feel as though that the missions serve more than a purpose than just to defeat the boss. I really liked that they changed some of the taming features up with these new creatures to make it more refreshing.

I wanna say I have gotten Mutagel from another place other than the space section but I can't remember exactly what it was. Maybe it was those plants you can get Element from, I was using a pick and a hatchet.

You should have access to all of the missions that people on PC can have. Keep in mind that if you do the mission bulbdog fetch on gamma it will count as one and if you then do it again but on beta that will count as two missions completed? Do you really only have access to 33?

Yeah i feel you but you need to keep in mind that these are end game dinos anyway. They are super op and have a tek transmitter on their back. The harvesting ability on them is crazy. even if you get yourself a low level 20 like i did with an excavation rig on it you will see how insane they are. as soon as i do my lets play series I am hopping on top of one of these when i can.

For real endgame tames I would suggest feeding them something like self crafted tek rifles. They are not too expensive, but you would need to beat a boss at least on beta.

no. I tried it towards the end. the only thing that you can do with them is upload them. you need to upload them via the mission consoles if you do want to upload them. but no you cannot cryo them.

Off topic, but these guys heavily remind me of the Tallnecks from Horizon Zero Dawn. The loud unique sounding footsteps, their stature, and their taming method even involves Overriding/Hacking.

A better way on getting muta gel it’s a lot harder than the space biome but yields a lot more mutagel under Rockwell’s heart in the acid pool the pole is surrounded by small blue dots u can gather them to gain mutagel

Someone please make a video on the mantis with pickaxe being the best creature to harvest Mutigel. Have not seen a video on it and I tested it extensively. Only dino that is even close is the magmasaur.

Maybe you can help me. I have the problem that when I want to tame a stryder it says the same text as always "put mutagel in your last slot to start hacking (mutagel 100/25)" or something along the lines. I have completed 39 missions and have enough mutagel in my last slot of the hotbar but nothing. can't tame it. is this an unknown bug in singleplayer because a friend of mine has a similar problem where it does say "[E] use mutagel" but nothing happenes. we both can't seem to tame them and it's frustrationg. restarting the game doesn't work either :(

just saying it's really been screwing me over on official servers, for one with lag it messes up timing on the hacks, and for two sometimes I had it on the last hack then hacked perfectly with it even saying override successful and it zaps me and resets the tame (both of these things happened multiple times and I eventually after 3 hours trying to tame a lvl 20 I gave up) and yes I did everything right... tbh mostly watched this video to confirm

@@seeshellgaming6883 i tried with a total of 3 stryders and attempted hacking what felt like over 50 times didn't matter which part I was hacking, I stayed in the circle and timed all hacks perfectly yet still would always zap and reset to 0% tamed at least once before able to fully tame... 1x rates tried a lvl 25 stryder, lvl 15 stryder, and lvl 20 stryder... all were different locations and different attachment and had the same problem. and yes official is pretty laggy most days on gen2 edit: by last hack I meant one more hack to tame

@@psnuncultured_trash5424 yeah I think it might be a bug cause I had it happening even when it was low lag and mostly on the last hack before it would be tamed, and another guy on my server tamed one twice (server crash and rollback so he had to tame it again) both times he took under 10 minutes and by now I've spent over 6 hours into trying to tame these and EVERY time I'm on the last hack it resets me fully and sometimes before also. I know I'm timing it right though, it's pretty easy to see.... either way any of the people I've talked to say I'm doing it right but seems to only be happening to me out of the people on my server. so I'm really not sure what's going on
