Ark: Genesis Part 2 - How to Build a Modern House - 20 Million Dollar Mansion with pool

Hey, welcome to my first Ark Genesis 2 How to build tutorial.
I have built a large modern Mansion with a pool, this build ended up being a lot larger than anticipated and turned into a large base rather than just a modern house design.
There is a massive open floor inside the main building with room for dinos and a huge crafting area.
The build extends down the cliff into the lake where I built a pool house with a small dock.
There is another house with a dino pen at the front of the base built into the cliff.
I have been watching some Mansion Tour videos on KZbin where they tour some of the most expensive mansions in the world and got a few ideas for the design of this base.
So I have made a tour of my own 20 million Dollar Mansion :)
There is a full build tutorial at the start of the video followed by a speed build.

How do you snap the ceiling under the stairs? To align the pool room I have tried everything it just keeps saying obstructed. I thought it might be because I placed the first foundation in a way the game might not allow me place the ceiling so I tried it again and again for hours, same thing. And then out of curiously I tried to test it on a flat surface where I had put a foundation then 2 walls and then the stairs and it still Wouldn’t allow me to place the ceiling under the stairs as you’ve done. Is it because my setting are different or something?

I was inspired by a lot of your builds (this one included) to create a sprawling base for Genesis 2 that’s built into the landscape. It has a massive bridge over a waterfall, an elevator running down the side of a cliff face, a floating greenhouse on the water… It’s probably the most beautiful base I’ve ever built. This is also a great architecture. One day I was able to complete it over the course of a day. There is no other architecture that considers your terrain and convenience. You can also see that it is built with a theme every time. I'm looking forward to a wonderful architecture in the future.

Thank you for uploading! Im trying to build this right now, I’ve been trying to figure out how to place the first block because when I get to the bit where you have to place the stairs and the ceiling underneath. It just won’t allow me to place the ceiling I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong

Hey sorry for the late repy, the ceilings should snap to the bottom of the stairs you might have to place 2 ceilings for the next set of stairs below, also I have clip active

@@ThePilgrimzProject I managed to wing it somehow but I’ve now come across another major issue haha! I’ve managed to complete the foundations on the bottom of the seabed and placed the wooden ceilings and fill in the swimming pool platform, however when I got to the part where you put walls 4 high and then a ceiling and another wall with the half walls and connect it to the stairs at the top of the cliff, one of my ceilings on the way to the top of the cliff runs into the cliff and it won’t allow me to place the ceiling because the ceiling goes into the cliff! :( I’m a solo tribe on pve official server ps4. Could this be why? Is there a way around this problem?

@@wh2714 short answer is no. However, if you do want to follow step by step and make it exactly how he has done it... yes. i havent tried it myself, but he does state in the video that alot of parts are easily fixable by having clipping on. So being that you're on official with no clipping, some things could possibly be worked around with different ways of achieving the same result. But 100% wont look identical to his build and the techniques he used cannot be followed step by step on some things.

@@wh2714 I've started completely different as Pilgrim. I started with the pool house and have build up my way from down to upstairs. I only used the spiral staircases. 😅 I'm not such a pro builder but I love to try to rebuild some of my favorite ideas. Sadly I reached the building limit and there's nothing in the houses lol. (playing on Xbox, local game)

@@wh2714 is there any alternative button where you can switch the different snappoints? (I have no idea about the settings and engine on PC or PS4/5.) Maybe you just missed something. I'll tried it first from upstairs (the cliff) and I was able to snap two fundamentals under these two stairs. But than I got similar Struggles as you said and I'll change the game lol. I'm so sorry but I can't give you an smart advice. I told my self to not take this to seriously. I'm very happy with my result but I had to change a few things because of the structure limits. You don't want to do this on a Ps4. You need at least a Ps5. At first you have to raise the limit of "structures in area". And when you're done, your Ps4 will have a freeze lag deluxe every time the base is in render. I'll recommend a PC with SS+ for less structures and lag.
