DPS, speed (flying and walking), torpor, stamina, which dinos they could lift, their unique abilities and even if they were bola-able. You forgot to mention that the Tapejara can land on vertical walls, and if you land on a wall while backing up you can actually look down. While landed on the Tapejara, you can pull out weapons and use them.

Tapejara is my favorite for the mix of high stamina, being fast enough, the maneuverability, and generally it looks cool. That said, I like having a pelagornis around my base as I find their coos cute.

My favorite is the argentavis because although it’s pretty slow, it has amazing weight reduction for pretty much anything you can mine, the highlights being crystal and obsidian. This lets me have amazing trips where, if paired with an anky, I can gets tons of metal, crystal and obsidian.

Chase Swansborough i tamed a 150 pelagornis, tamed out at 350 melee, 250 weight... And it is my favorite mount so far, pumped a bit health (to like 2.5k) and 250% movement speed... It can kill 150 rexes, spino's etc and with the movement speed it is super to get away from something or someone quickly... Plus it can land in the water and can attack while landed.. Love it

To be fair, ya CAN'T compare Weight among Fliers when Argy's in the Pic, Argy auto-wins there. He's like a C4 Cargo Plane that can peck stuff too & drop stuff to its doom. :P

Louis Paludan Pteranadon is great because of it's speed but it falls behind on everything else. I personally prefer argentavis. It's slow after the flier nerf but it has amazing everything and I take all the other things over speed any day. Only reason I would use pteranadon is for scouting, going somewhere quick but not taking many things because it has rather crappy weight or for stealing wyvern eggs.

Thanks for the comparison. How does the Griffin compete? I have a leveled one and it feels really good. I have a hard time comparing a Ptera vs Griffin. But I assume a Griffin and Argen should be compared but still find nothing. My Argen feels boring compared to my Griffin though:/

Hey Diesel, would you mind testing out Auto Turret settings like Tamed + player or Player only settings. I kinda want to know if player only settings shoot the person first or is it a line of fire thing meaning dino will get shot IF they're in the way of the bullets lol.

Something seems off with your chart at 4:17 You have the pelagornis listed as 3rd but at its base speed you have it shown as faster and then slower at 200% speed

the chart shows the placing in terms of all movement speed at 200%. However, if based on the base speed of 136.5% the pelagornis is actually the 2nd place. The reason why I placed all of them at 200% movement speed is to place then on a fair ground before comparing them.

I love the pteranodon as a battle flyer. The barrel roll attack is tough to beat. Might not be the best DPS, but I can kill just about anything with it given enough time. I use my Tapejara for my taming runs though, because I can park it on the side of a wall and shoot the tame in the face from a safe distance.

Totally fair. Guess we all need some recovery time. :( I myself am trying to recover from the suckage of the Nerfing to my fav Dino of all, the Lightning Wyvern. :( (& I thought the prior situation of Player Wyverns having their Health & Melee Damage PUNISHED for being Player Owned was in & itself unfair to start with. Though i'll understand if no one wants to listen to me on this cause my feelings on the matter are fully Shamelessly Biased.) Funnily enough, I don't care about the Speed Nerf cause I never intended to pump it anyway. I do heavily resent the nerf to Stamina & Breath Attack Stamina Cost. :( (Honestly my plan will be to pump nothing but Melee Damage.)

Pteradon is the best for me... cuz is fast, with 1.5k stam 3.5k health and 140movement and the rest in melee damage u can get aproximatly 600 melee dmg with a good pteradon 150 lvl, and u can kill alphas easily (alpha rex is the harder but not impossible) with that... i used always pteradons... my favourite dino in the game!!

I think eagle is good at under LV 30, saddle is at LV 62 but in comparison to the other flyers he has good fight qualities. 😀😀When you do not have saddle to ride them,flyers are a bit useless. 😢😢

argentavis. I boosted it's speed, I can fly farther across the map, pretty fast. I can lift other dinos, and mine, he killed 2 allosaurus, defending me while I tamed a third in my solo. he almost died. that's loyalty. lol.
