It does have a weakness, when it jumps toward you, you have to run while jumping to the sides to avoid its devastating grabbing attack. Once dogged you can either run up to it and kill it (risking the chance of your own survival) or you can bola it as it slowly come towards you which gives you a advantage, when done you can tame it or kill it... or you can be a jack ass and let it catch you and stab the shit outa him/her as it's carrying you! Any way it's pretty easy once you get the technique if there's only one :^)

was able to find a good base location on an official server on the eastern coast of the map literally just south of the swamp on the east coast up on a cliff. in the early levels, this thing was a menace... lost so many good mounts when those things rip you off your mount and then getting dragged away by kapros or knocked out by titanoboas

I totally don't want to be annoying, but I'm from Brazil, and would like you to know that this is not The correct pronunciation of Tapejara. The correct one is with the J as in Jar. The Ra pronounciation doesn't have an equivalent in english language as far as I know, but it is pretty much the same as a Ra in japonese, like, Takara (without "rolling the tongue"). Just get on Google Translator, type in Tapejara and click to listen the sound in brazilian portuguese, I believe it's easier this way.

Archodus Vaxa,l Tapejara still is its own genus, however studies of previously classified Tapejara species were found to be distinct enough to be placed in their own genera. The kaprosuchus is a great extension to the ark and universe, but I expected this to be a more tactical and versatile mount, instead of an overpowered advantageous mount, and I hope the ark team change a multitude of systems, such as the ko system and flyer pickups are altered in a way, to which players have a equal chance of combating these systems with new implemtations, like more resilient helmets, etc.

The Kaprosuchus is a glass cannon. Yeah, you can pick someone up and run off with them, but you better hope they don't have a sword on them, otherwise they can chop your Kaprosuchus apart while in it's jaws. Especially if the person has pumped points into Melee Damage.

How I tamed mine was I got my hp to about 180 and my melee to at least 175, put on some hide armour and got a wooden club and strolled through the swamps and hoped I got grabbed by a low level one, helps if you have someone waiting with the taming stuff if you do succeed in this stupid strategy because if u get grabbed by a high level u dead and gone
