so i have an inside source. the Cannon maps are being worked on in house. with a bunch of small teams working independently. that's why scorched took so long. as a map enters and stabilizes the team is broken up and put on new assignments. which is why after the scorched update we had a slue of bug fixes across all maps. when genesis releases the team will be split to help extinction and start genesis part 1. i have heard some of the solutions for part missions but no idea has been set yet. non cannon maps are being worked on by third party sources and have to be tested by lets say a less then thorough check which leads to issue like the missing ocean floor on some prats of the map and excess amounts meshing.

instead of being paying "bounties" for cheaters they should hire some people to answer those damn tickets, hell even some people of the community would love to do it, i mean it's already full of hackers and dupers, corrupted admins so why not try it? hell even some youtubers can do it just to keep the community and their youtube channel, but would be way better to pay an actual employee... they have to fix the optimization but i think that is more of an unreal engine problem when i was investigating about unreal

I quit playing in December I believe due to Xbox not being able to save the game. Has this been fixed yet? At the time, there were like three patches made to fix this that fixed nothing.

If they stick to Abb coming out 4/5th Sep, getting Ext end of October (like 27th-31st) just as Fear Evolved is supposed to come out, they will still have about 2 months between maps, just like SE and Center. Rag as non-cannon will prob be closer to Xmas. Gen 1, more like after Chinese NY/Valentines (mid Feb).

it's no coincidence they're launching aberration with the performance upgrade, they know they need to do it with ab's release, it's the most popular map, and they need as many people to hop on the ark train now, to bump up their stock value. the issue is how often wildcard stumbles at the finish line, releasing buggy unoptimized, unfinished shit. this is their now or never moment, and they need to step up to succeed.

main reason people i know play old ark not new is nothing to do with performance, its paid dlc that people dont like it, and the maps being broken with loads of mesh spots, the center has a rat hole that you casually just walk into the mesh of the floating island. To get it out faster, they just cut corners like they always have.

I recently learned that they completely removed dedicated servers in asa so i'll never play it sadly. I was very excited but i always played with 3 friends on a dedicated server hosted by my ps4. There's no way we'll play with a bubble and we'll definitely not pay for nitrado. Can't gez into my head how they removed a feature from the base game in the next gen version and to replace it with a payed service. Disgusting

A VERY large chunk of the community cannot run it. Performance is absolutely a roadblock for many. I have a 5900x and 3080ti and I struggle to run 1440p Ultrawide smoothly. UE5 is no joke, the hit to performance is intense. It requires a lot of attention to optimization. When The Isle went to UE5, I lost 20FPS, and it ran very very well

@14soccerplayer1 consoles absolutely have issue with ASA. The Series X and PS5 struggle with quite a few things. There's a reason the quality is gimped compared to what we get access to on PC. It's getting better, but we still see consoles having connection issues and the inability to handle too many mods being enabled. Nobody "prefers" ASE. It's worse in almost every way. However people have many years of work done on their maps and don't want to start over. If you have the hardware to push it and don't mind starting the map releases over ... ASA is superior. Unless you're into PVP ... then of course you want higher frames and a lower end engine.
