ARK is in BIG trouble in 2024... Is ARK DEAD?

Can aberration save Ark or is it too late? The current state of ark the rollercoaster it's been to get here and ARK's future... Will Wildcard be able to hold players attention with all of the glitches and delays? my opinion on the New content and added creatures to the game.

they should of never released asa. Even WITH aberration's release ark ascended still didnt go above ark survival evolved's player count which is crazy. In my eyes, it was stupid to make asa but too late to go back. Ark 2 is definitely not coming out but i think ark evolved should get the love it has deserved

It is dead. I only keep up with it out of curiosity. Had over 8k hours logged onto game before Asa came out. Game was supposed to be free, turned out to be lies. Constant promises never kept. Game is unplayable a lot. They spend all their time monetizing stuff. The pyromane money grab was hilarious lmao. All this non tales content everyone is excited about I think they all forgot that all that exciting Ark content is paywalled..all of it. Game is a scam

I love the improved looks of ASA but it's buggier then ASE if you can actually imagine saying that lol. There are barely anyone playing ASA, I find myself alone on most servers I play on.

The game isn't dying. It just hasn't come into its own. For right now ASE is just the better game for most ark fans. Personally, i love ASA. Admittedly i have a system strong enough to play it without many issues. However, there are simple work arounds for the amd gpu crashing issue andi doubled my performance my enabling fsr through a script. These are things every pc player can do. The main reason more players haven't moved over is due to system requirements, the much needed optimization patch, and because the game isn't finished. remember, this game is still in EARLY ACCESS. Its going to have bugs, broken releases, delays, ect. Give it time and itll come into its own. Im a little surprised you didn't touch in the pay to win argument, but frankly its a mute point. Outside of the pyromane ark had always been pay to win. As for the free release, that was unrealistic. Look at skyrim, it got 3-5 remasterd and they all costed money. Paying half the price or less for all the maps is perfectly acceptable imo. Paying another $30 for the BTT is fine too. It has added so much and specifically with this release is worth the price tag itself. Pyromane is a different story, but its cheap and adding it to more maps isn't a bad thing. Admittedly though it shouldn't be in the blue zone. Red or surface with the goo gun as a way to tame is would have been acceptable.

Fair points, I look forward to seeing how the future is handled however over $100 for an early access game, seems excessive. Although I have less of a problem with premium mods.

@@MaskedHoser well currently it's only $75 unless you get premium mods or they add another dlc like bobs tall tales. It also looks like they plan to do sales periodically ideally lining up with map releases.

It's been too late since ARKSA launched. The moment they made it a graphic upgrade not just an engine upgrade it was doomed. Sorry but People shouldn't need a 4080 to run this game half way well. Most people including myself didn't want a graphic update. We wanted ARK improved so we could have bigger bases without huge FPS drops. Have lots big PVP battles without launch setting 90% of the graphics away. We were not getting that the moment the first high depth screen shots of the mew graphics came out. I abandon ARKSA even before it was released. Why buy Ark again if it's going to run like trash again? 😂

@@ColeRum-p3d No, the Engine Upgrade wasn't the Graphic Upgrade. Rocks, Trees, Terrain, building structures, player characters, among many other things had been remodeled, changed, and rebuilt. The Maps are not the same for example, not even close to being the same. Heck some are complaining that Scorched Earth uses all the same Assets as The Island and looks soulless as it looks almost nothing like Scorched Earth from ARKSE. They didn't just switch to a different engine. They redid almost all the visuals, from weapons, armor, clothing, house structures, even some dinos get their models changed.

nah they had their time. They had 7 years and billions of dollars to make a functional game. Now they are out of money and wasting their time recreating old content with mobile game style pay to win microtransactions to get by when all most people wanted was to fix glitches that have existed since launch in 2017. Its the ark communities toxic positivity, and inability to criticize horrible decisions that led us here. Maps and content wont fix the game but bugfixes and listening to the community will
