What Dino should I use to farm paragon monsters?

I personally suggest a Paragon/ Treasure/Loot Deinonychus in the early/ mid game. Others have had good luck with Bulbdogs or Mammoths with the uni saddle. Edward (Uni Mantis) and Pride (Uni Saber) both have paragon variants and won't be pushed around by the paragon monster either. If you can get a Purgatory or Afterlife (Legendary and Unique Phantom) and attack from the back of any mount, you'll curse the paragon monster and they'll do reduced damage and take more damage making them much easier.

Correct. You can also breed Omega + Basic/Beta/Alpha, etc, and get a higher tier potentially.

@@Mazhron just a regular saber saddle that I used the upgrade station to get to apprentice and to get to max armor then I imbued it with boss essence

Purgatory. It's the Legendary version of the Phantom.

It's a random drop. The higher the Magic Find you have the better the chance you'll have of getting it. You can also do a high tier Treasure God (Gobbles), they will drop 1 high level item every time you kill them. The higher the tier of Treasure God you kill the better the chance of higher tier loot.
