Ark Survival Ascended: Bridge Build

THIS. BUILD. IS. HUGE.
It took me almost 3 hours to build, and it is 1 of 3 for this particular build. There will be additions, so keep an eye out for those over the next couple of weeks. I will add, that this was built on my private community server, so if you ever want a close up, hit me up during a Twitch stream and I will happily get on a bird and mosey on over.
Because this build is so giant, and there's a fair amount of repetition, I have split up the chapters for your viewing ease.
I still believe this build system is the best build system and I love it. The ability to use railings like I have is incredible, and I think they need to give the person who overhauled the building system a raise! XD It is leaps and bounds better than what we had in Ark Survival Evolved.
I'm so glad this turned out to be such an awesome build and I can't wait to continue it. However, because it's so awesome (GIGANTIC), I do not have a materials list for it. Also it would be entirely dependent on where it was placed as to whether or not it would be an accurate count. So, here, have this instead....

Also, new disclaimer time: Most of my builds are always built with the idea that you may want to follow along in mind, however, they are speed builds at their core and I have been known to change my mind mid build. I just want to say thank you for still playing and uploading builds on ASE, most people just ditched it which is disappointing, so keep it up legend. 👍 P.S for your next ASE build could you make something that looks nice, and is also functional for a early - mid game? So like non of this ten ton electrical stuff and huge layouts? Something modest and smallish, thanks 😊

Unfortunately, I had actually stopped with ASE. BUT I can absolutely do this for you. I know how to make it work with the current states of ASE/ASA. So were you thinking pre fabricator level of game?

@@kiitarie yeah sort of pre-fab, you can incorporate power if you want, but preferably before electricity, also you *don't* have to incorporate a dino area if the build is too big

Looks awesome. Only thing i would do different is those center pillars for your support. they look a bit weird. Maybe doing an underwater foundation support could have helped?

I agree. I thought about it, but I was worried it would bulk it up too much, and I wouldn't be able to boat under there anymore, at least not with ease. Since the pillars no longer snap the way they used to, I couldn't do the old trick and not have them at all. :( lol

I know you're going for a certain level of symmetry but if you just go one pillar down and then put foundations under water the bridge will all have foundation

So on a private server such as this, is there a structure limit? I think on official ASE I hit a cap of around 5,500. I’d just be curious to know how many structures something like this would soak up in an area if limits still exist.

There is, I can increase it though. I think, from memory, the usual structure limit for ASA is 12,500. They probably lower it for official due to so many people being on there.

This is the most impressive build I’ve ever seen in this game, no way it could be done in evolved. My only nitpick is the wood floors should have been facing the other way. Generally wood is going in the direction of the shortest dimension, instead of having a weirdly long continuous wood strip. I would have definitely had it be perpendicular to the direction you walk across the bridge. Also that way there wouldn’t be a seam between each floor piece

I get that. I did take pause when deciding which way for the wood to go. I went to make the bridge feel longer at the time because I had no idea how long it would feel at the end. XD it really didn't need it. I could never have pulled this off in Evolved. I love the new system in Ascended. It's amazing.

To get the fences to slant was a project... it was easier to start with them snapping to a full wall, and then I had to cycle through the snap points. Sometimes, it took longer than others.
