Besides, the game is $65, there's no reason it should have to cost several hundred more just to get a device powerful enough to run it. Especially when Skyrim exists with pretty good graphics and a huge map that takes 12 GB of space, they just need to optimize the game.

as soon as i seen that the Minimum Graphics card was a GTX 1080 I knew it was gona be a Disaster. Like who did they make this game for? only rich people?? only like the top 5% of people can even run the damn thing Smoothly.

tbh with a lot of commands and editing settings ive managed to get 60-80 fps on a 2080 super with good enough graphics, its basically just the same graphics as ASE but with the new features

​@@VidarArkit's using nanite and lumin for the terrain and foliage present on the unreal engine 5.3 but that's the problem it's to expensive on the hardware and also even Ark survival evolved wasn't really optimized so combining this horrible things we get this thing that makes any video card shit itself, I wonder what level of upscaling and graphics settings the devs on consoles version of the game will have change to achieve a stable 30 or 60 fps

i saw someone with a 4080 i think he had medium graphics enabling gpu accelerated gpu scheduling sitting on about 80-100 fps, tbh it just takes a lot of mucking around in the settings

I noticed sometimes when I'm gaming and another application is using hardware acceleration it impacts the performance of my game. Discord and Chrome use hardware acceleration which, from what I understand, offloads some of the tasks of that application to your GPU. There are options for disabling hardware acceleration in Discord and Chrome which should help when playing GPU intensive games.

This does improve performance but it the crashes are still a problem with the programs cache not properly clearing. So it just gets out of hand and players have to manually clear it.

Discord is filled with people who haven't been here for the last eight years of content releases. They are all asking where their server is like someone cares and this hasn't been exactly whats happened every single time any content is dropped. There is a week of the game not working and servers just continuously crashing. Its just sad at this point that you could literally bet your life savings on a delay and server issues for and update and be right

As a console player, the console release should have still been postponed even now on the island it runs 30-20 fps in a tiny forest, on the center, on the floating island in one of the caves with nearly every single quality, shadow, cloud, and even fog all turned off your running a max 24.55 fps

The point of ASA in my opinion was a reskin and better graphics. But i cant run the game to make is look as how they advertise it so im forced to make the game look like it was made in 2010

Mine was extremely blurry and lagged a ton. I couldn’t really figure out how to fix it and I’m not sure if my computer might be bad. I bought it on steam but the bad quality made me refund it.

If you’re not sure what your specs are you can check in windows settings > system > about and it’ll say there. Mine was really blurry too but it kinda just went away over time

Currently, this game seems to be poorly optimised, similar to the situation with Starfield when it was initially released. Hopefully, this issue will be resolved with a patch. In the meantime, if anyone wants to enhance their FPS, they can type "~" to access the console and copy and paste the following commands one by one. These commands should enable the game to run smoothly on epic and high settings these are my computer specs 7800 X3D processor, 32 GB DDR5 RAM, and an Aorus Master 6800 XT graphics card at a resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels. 60 FPS also turn AA to low. On my RTX 4070, its crashing every 1-2 mins at very possible place(UI/in-game etc). Tried everything. DLSS on/off seems to have no effect. Unplayable. Worst gaming experience of my Life actually. My entire YT channel was famous because of ARK & now, I can safely conclude I won't be playing ASA atleast till they release a "v1.0"

They don't know how to fix it, that is their problem. It shows when they can't even fix dino models without spending 2 million dollars. They had to buy everything as an outside source and then throw it all together in some cheap soaked toilet paper. If they had just stopped trying to be cheap and spent 2 mill on an internal team to do their modeling, they wouldn't have to worry about plugging in outside assets. Wildcard took the cheap way out and now has to spend 3 times as much fixing their product.

When I go to the middle of map my fps drops dramatically and the whole map looks ass so I wonder if there’s going on there, maybe tek cave is loading at the wrong time or something? Anyway regardless the dev team should (hopefully) get to that pretty soon, I’d recommend just constantly checking for small updates and see if any help, as I’ve seen them help a lot for other people!

I am above the stated minimum requirements (though below recommended) and no matter what settings I try even everything on low I can not even get the game playable at all it looks like a slideshow. I am severely stressed out as ark is a huge part of my life and I can’t just upgrade because I prefer to play on laptops so I spent a lot of money on this one just a couple years ago specifically for ark then they drop this one.. I hope I can figure something out bc right now I’m about o have an anxiety attack every day thinking about how I might now be able to play ark until I save up money and buy a Pc I don’t want just for ark because no way I can afford a laptop even better than this one. Just praying a miracle happens for me.

What are your specs? Their patches recently have helped some people a lot, depending what your issue is you could also try launching it using all available cores if the cpu is your issue

i have an RTX 2060 and even after turning everything down to the lowest possible settings, ill only get just below 60 fps on the best of times and thats from a fresh new character in a solo world. without a base full of dinos or mods, nothing. and the moment theirs a day/night cycle itll tank to 30ish fps everytime. yea its bad.. REALLY bad... needless to say, ive uninstalled and am issuing a refund from steam. they have a policy of no more than 2 hrs gametime to have a refund be accepted but im also going to explain to them that the 3 hrs of "gametime" was actually 2 and a half hours of just trying to make the damn game WORK to a reasonably functional level without looking like complete garbage on top of fighting the mulitple crashes to desktop.

It's partially a problem with the engine and the devs that cant use the features of the engine on the correct way which results in this horrible mess of performance in wich a 4090 a 4k card is not able to run the game at 1080p 60 😅

What are your specs? Unfortunately for the game to be playable you need mid-high end specs, but for it to even look good you need more than high end. I would say I have a mid-high end pc and ASE looks better than ASA for me :(

My cpu don t go over 60% load and gpu 70% it s not using all hardware ressources correctly. But i can play 45 to 100 fps with correct settings.

It’s normal for cpu load to not reach 100% with games (unless you have a bad cpu compared to gpu) and it’s not using my full gpu too, no matter what I try it doesn’t change so I wonder if it’s an optimisation issue (or perhaps I’m just missing a setting somewhere)

I got a full refund. from what I've seen in the steam discussion unless ur running a minimum of a 4090 u cant play the game. I only have a RTX3080 32g Ram and cant even play on lowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww settings. Am pissed off and let down as an original player from 2015 early release AT LEAST I COULD PLAY THE DAMN GAME with a low end card 😕this was beyond ridiculous

I think it could turn out good with some time because this launch was obviously rushed by snail and the devs definitely needed more time to iron things out. It could also be why there was no gameplay until launch day

Tell that too everyone having issues also too the people wasting time grinding trying to play legit for some random ass dude able to get admin on servers and ruining it for everyone they already wiped all servers because it's such an issue if your going to sell a game and aren't prepared for a release then you shouldn't be a game developer there are so many issues it's unacceptable wildcard is a dogshit company who ever since the beginning have had issues since ark originally released it shouldn't take a year for a game to get better at most it should take a week maybe two even then wtf is that if they make you wait hours before showing a trailer and not any actual gameplay testing on stress test servers then obviously something is wrong and there trying to hide it like seriously wtf is that is unacceptable
