so the whole reason for breaking the counter is to get back to the highest mutation probability of 7%? Does that also mean your dinos will have more mutations than if you just stopped at 20/20?

Exactly! If you have plans on breeding lines (rex for boss fighting for example), you will want to keep that highest probability so you’re saving time in the long run. It’s still possible to get mutations but only from the female side since your females are clean (0/0) but you wont be able to get a mutation from the male side (21+/20) since 21+ is higher than 20 therefore the game stops the chance of getting a mutation from the male side. So breaking the counter to a negative will make it possible for mutations to happen on the male side again since a negative number is less than 20.

Yes it's how you get the mutations to 254 but he is wrong about 1 thing for you negative line you need a pair every generation and you will get to neg mutation in like 30 generations give or take don't breed you f3 to m1 like he said let them breed until you get f3 and m3 breed those until u get f4 and m4 and so on the mutations will double every time they way he explained it you will only be adding 8 to the counter every generation

@@evanford3135 In the example yeah it was only pertaining to the 8 count like you mentioned but what you just said is what I was attempting to relay to the audience; swap baby out with the parent and keep breeding and so on

Dude where have u been all of my ark life. I’ve been doing it wrong, thought mutations didn’t count past 20 to your Dino’s stats
