If you hit 'Q' while you have something snapping in, you can swap its snap position if you can hit it at your angle. Helped me fix some walls I attempted to put up snap correctly together without the gaps. Great video btw!

Great guide and some beautiful work!! Enjoy your playthrough (no mods -- especially since I'm just starting on PS4 version 😁) and these type of guides are an excellent starting point for my builds. You give great hints along the way, like I couldn't figure out for the life of me how to get rid of the tops of pillars sticking out (now I have to undo an hour of work, lmao... The OCD in me as well). Keep it up!!

For the people wondering why their thatch roofs break over the balcony its probably because youre using the S+ version, I had to use the Vanilla ones just for that part :)

it's on the center map which has its own weather and Scorched earth also has thunder and lightning which turns off electricity in a storm so its down to the map you play on

you have to place one foundation then place wooden pillar on it like in the middle of foundation then the game lets you place foundation next to it a little lower and you just do it and pick up the pillar place to the lower foundation until you reach desired height
