ARK Survival Evolved : How to build - Rope Bridges

Hey man great build and super creative... quick question I get the pillars coming down from the ceiling to the ground initially but what are the other pillars snapping to that's making you not need support? Because I figured you would have to run pillars down to the ground from every 2 ceilings

The pillars running along the ground that aren't snapping to anything are acting like actual foundations, don't ask me why the game thinks like this but it just does, saves having to snap pillars to every ceiling atleast. As long as you keep snapping the pillars side by side evenly then you will have foundation support to build what ever above them. Hope this helps 😊

you can do it as a flat bridge if you wanted :)

Very much, it does get very repetitive, but like you say it goes alot quicker once you know it, I've done these so many times now it gets easier each time.

Unfortunately you cannot use debug structures on official but the technique is still the same. My only question and concern is do you have to use metal and wood or can you use any structure like wooden catwalks and wooden ceilings or does it have to be metal ceilings?

Your absolutely right you can't, it was just a handy tip incase you did have admin powers, and yes you can use other materials, but you will need to use the metal hatchframes to make it float

I found using the metal made it easier to myself to recognise what to demolish and what not to

broken now. place and remove hatchframe, cant then place any ceilings down due to no support

@@huskbcn4327 sadly yes, i spent an hour or so setting it up , but once i replaced the first ceiling with a hatchframe (it worked), the next one said no support to put the ceiling in.

Sean , Hi there, so i just checked this as i was ingame anyway... your right it does not give you support if you start doing the method from the first pillar you place, BUT it does work if you leave that one attached and start from the last pillar and work your way backwards and then finally do it on the " first supporting celing"

I noticed u mention something about a mod. And in the past I've had issues with my builds not snaping into place where I want/need them to. And lemme tell ya, it's a pain in the ass having holes in ur house, random railing going through walls, or my fave sunlight coming in through cracks in my walls but there are no cracks! Lol. So since I don't hav mod & can't the get mod (I play on XBox) to see where or if things are snapping, my question is, is this bridge build still do-able without the mod?

@@BossHawk_88 ahh you mean the debugstructures part, you can do that on xbox too, in the cheat console bar just type debugstructures and it'll show you what building pieces are snapped together 😊

Hi. So I'm back. 1st I gota say THANK U so much for the help. Wen I said, "if I can find it," I was referring to the bar u mentioned. Had to search a whole new vid for that, realized i didn't even hav the Admin Command bar active. Which is weird since I sometimes play on creative, like how is bar not already there?! Lol. But anyways had another questions for ya but I may hav jus answered 1 myself. I was gona ask u if the admin command bar ever stops working for u & how fix bc mine did but I think the reason may hav been bc I put a space between bug & structures, instead of "debugstructures" I realized wen I reread our comments lol. I've only ever used 2 cheats since activating it bc, well I dnt kno any lol. Which brings me to my main question: the mod Awesome Spyglass. Do u kno if there is a similar cheat that's compatible for xbox??
