Ark: Survival Evolved - Viking Fortress - Wyvern Dino Pen Built on Fjordur

I have built a massive Viking fortress to house your wyvern.
This base was built on the FJORDUR Map by NEKATUS, Released as the latest New Map DLC on the 12/6/22
The base can hold 10 Wyverns on platforms and more if you use all the space, the main build has 12 sides 6 of them have Behemoth Gateways and the massive roof is built above them.
This place was going to be huge and epic from the start
I did not realise how huge until I started to build the roof above the behemoth gateways.
I had a dream about the dragons on platforms in the roof of a castle and the walkways high above the main floor, that was the inspiration for this build although the place in my dream was built from dark stone and twice the size.

Because very few people care about Ark or Valheim base building. About 95% of Ark's player base play PvP. NO ONE is doing any of these builds in PvP servers lol Now I know its 2021 so everyone is retarded so I will add I'm not trying to say his bases aren't amazing. He is an excellent builder!!

Thanks Eric, was a real big project this one. It was cool watching this come together, I wanted it to be huge like when you are on the ground looking up it just looms over you. It's like ''yeah the bad guys live here'' 😁 Had to work on it during the night was just too hot in the day for the PC to be running at max. Plus the room is warm, I had 3 fans on with one blowing warm air out the door :)

In case anyone's stuck with the fence foundations + gateway you have to use the Behemoth Dinosaur Gateway, not the S+ version.

I attempted this build on official Xbox pve and I hit 5500 structure cap on the 5th rear of the roof outline. That’s without the sloped triangle roofs and sloped roofs in between each tier. I had to demolish the roof tiers and consolidate down to using the second floor where you have wyverns looking down through center I then hit structure cap again. So back to the drawing board of shaving more off of the build. Very unfortunate and discouraging that this has happened, I was really looking forward to having this build for my main base.

I don't know why structure limit is a thing especially with single player, because we basically don't have to worry about lots of people building all around the map or leaving dinos out to make the map lag like crazy. I tried all I knew to make at least the ceiling and now I have to demolish the whole thing and think what I can build instead. Btw, that structure limit thing is for console only?

You just raise the foundation until needed hight is where you want it. With s+ mod you can stack foundations :)

As I play ark myself and would be interested in trying out some of your builds on my SP game. My builds are a plane square usually not very aesthetically pleasing and very plane. I follow you build vids alot but I'd love to actually try them out, but you have all the tricks to get thing to clip where there supposed to lol mine always look lobsided. Have you ever built on someone else's game or just for yourself and the viewers?

On official server settings...can you stack “tek” behemoth gates...for water pen purposes???? If so could you give me a quick run down on how PLEASE!!! Thanks in advance👍👍👍 I have found a “how to” for stone that looks like total garbage with ceilings and pillars sticking out everywhere but don’t want it to look bad...and nothing for tek???

Hey sorry for the late reply, I am really behind on my messages :) you could run pillars up to the hight of the Tek Behemoth gate then place some ceilings at each side and place fence foundations on them. you should be able to snap the behemoth gate to the fence foundations. You may have to run ceilings across the top of the whole gate and place extra fence foundations in the centre, so you would have to place a set of foundations or pillars along the floor to support them
