What I love about Assault on Arkham is that it gives basically everyone their time in the sun, just in different ways. You see how the Squad are good at what they do, and how they can definitely handle the tasks Waller assigns them. But Arkham Batman is out of their league and trounces them without stealing the spotlight and making the film all about him. Bonus fun fact: only time in the Arkhamverse that Kevin Conroy's Batman interacts with Troy Baker's Joker!

I love Waller's mission briefing. They go through the infiltration, how they're going to neutralize the electronic and physical security, all the details. Then somebody asks, "What about The Bat?" Waller's response amounts to hopefully we'll get lucky and we'll be able to keep him distracted, but if not you're all fucked and MAYBE one of you will be able to get away with the mission objective.

The second live action movie is way better about putting the squad in their power level, but even so I was really hoping the end would just be Superman flying through Starro out of nowhere at the speed of sound. Like just make it obvious that they're immediately out classed as soon as anyone with actual powers gets involved.

I wonder why they didn't get Mark Hamill for Joker here, was it related to him quitting the role (though secretly being involved in Arkham Knight) at the time? Or why they didn't have Roger Craig Smith reprising his role. I love Kevin Conroy's Batman but given that this is set in between Origins & Asylum and features Troy Baker's Joker, it would've been nice to to see his Batman back.

Do Argus or King Shark do anything past *maybe* being mentioned? Not really. This movie really is faithful to the Arkham series. Self-Deletion Squad is not worthy of being called an "Arkham Series Spinoff". Too many character breaks that damage continuity, but it's a multiverse story. Nothing matters.

they didn't forget. the people who would have remembered this movie are long gone from the company. the people working at rocksteady now are completely different people than those who made even arkham knight. it's basically a new company with the same name and access to the IPs as the original company. this company only wants to ruin your childhood and make money and the shit making the most money in current year (they claim) is live service multiplayer looter-shooters. so expect more live service multiplayer games! rocksteady already said they want to make as many as possible with as many of their IPs as possible.

Especially considering the fact that she A, has no martial arts skills whatsoever and would be literally babied... B, she has only held a gun a few times let alone shot them so I doubt she'd be good enough of a marksman to even touch Batman with bullets... And C, she was a psychiatrist, not a chemist (idk how they missed that) so she would not be able to reverse, improve, or show immunity to the fear toxin; and even if she was a Chemist, she would have no time to engineer and look into the fear toxin as she was in the asylum since Arkham Knight.

Yeah no Harley is getting knocked out with a single arkham blow, specially the fact that all of the arkham games take place in a single night!

Just by taking bachelor's level psych you'll encounter inorg chemistry, bio chem, bio psych, anatomy physiology, and others I don't remember. Since she's like a "genius" she probably can mess with the fear toxins. What's stupid is that Batman doesn't need the fear toxins to defeat the squad. Batman can easily clock all of them without breaking a sweat. AND this is a Batman who doesn't hold back... He would've been more of a menace if he's actually the same Batman from the Arkham series

Batman did solo the squad at the start of the game. But for some reason doesn't kill them. Like he kills random people in the intro but doesn't for some reason. Flash could have killed them anytime too. Like even if he can't punch them due to anti speed force, he could just throw a rock at Mach 10 and split their skulls open. They somehow tank Green Lantern's attacks. And worst of all, Superman flips the entire planet but doesn't just throw a city block at the squad. Or Throw the city block they are standing on into space.

@ri9833 The game does allude to the Batman's plans to neutralize the Justice League, but I don't think the game does anything with this and it's instead up to Lex Luther to provide the required plot armour. Also the plans Batman has to neutralize Justice League originated from comic book JLA: Tower of Babel, which was loosely adapted into the animated film Justice League: Doom. As for Jon Stewart, the Suicide Squad would have easily been able to beat him because the Green Lantern ring would have abandoned Jon the moment he was mind controlled.

Fun Fact! - Black Spider was ORIGINALLY A CANDIDATE for being one of the Assassins chosen to kill Batman during Batman Arkham Origins. You can see a file with his name on it in Black masks Steel Mill. The File is listed near a selection titled "Potential Assassins". Dude was PROBABLY TRAINING TO FIGHT THE BAT LONG before THIS MOVIE!

1:19 Just a heads up, Deadshot never killed Waller. In the Arkhamverse, it is stated that Batman stepped in and stopped Deadshot from killing Waller. Although the movie cuts off, it was later revealed regarding what went down afterwards.

Also no, I am not refering to the Arkham wiki, but rather those reports in the game, via what is found ,bios, etc, hence even Waller appearing in the tie in. As is some stuff from the comics, like how Jason and Slade got their army and the resources, which is mentioned to. As well as how Joker got into Arkham City in the first place, which we see in the AC tie in. I wish we did also but sadly most of the OG Rocksteady guys left the company. Now we are stuck with the new group and Sweet Baby 😕 SSKTJL retcon'd everything tho.

Arkham Batman is literally the most powerful encarnation of Batman without super powers (Not counting the dark multiverse Batmans cause all of those have super powers and shit) so yeah there is no damn way those 4 clowns could've defeated that Batman, specially since he did not have his no killing rule thanks to brainiac

I have a theory that Earth two is actually Earth 3, making the suicide squads universe Earth 2. Lex mentions lady boomerang, an elseworld character from Earth 3 in the comics. Is it possible that it was just a throw-away joke, but due to conclusions in the story being built on relative perspective, I think it's entirely possible that assault on arkham is still canonical to the arkham games in Earth 1.

Suicide Squad game should've been about how terrifying it is to go against Arkham Batman. Especially an evil version of him without a no-killing rule, that's way harder and almost impossible. It is Batman after all, the guy who has a contingency plan for EVERYTHING.
