The Batman Arkham Series has been one of the most acclaimed modern superhero game franchises, single-handedly redefining the genre. Batman: Arkham Asylum and Arkham City revolutionized how superhero games are made and were adored by many fans. However, Batman: Arkham Origins and Batman: Arkham Knight sometimes seem to receive less favorable critical and fan reception. Nevertheless, the backlash against these two games has never reached the level of outrage caused by games like Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and Gotham Knights. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is the latest video game based on DC Comics and is set in the Batman: Arkham Universe five years after the events of Batman: Arkham Knight. It marks Rocksteady's first major release since 2015 and features a mind-controlled Justice League as a consequence of Brainiac's invasion. The Justice League roster includes Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and Green Lantern, while playable characters from the Suicide Squad include Harley Quinn, Deadshot, King Shark, and Captain Boomerang. The Arkham Series includes a multitude of characters such as the Joker, Bane, Catwoman, Nightwing, Red Hood, Robin, and Batgirl.

They used most of City's assets because Rocksteady were consultants on the game and they were limited to what they could use so they just used most of City's assets minus the wall that blocked off the rest of Gotham and there is also the Shock Gloves that give you the ability to perform 2 special combo moves back to back and the ability to counter usually uncounterable attacks like shields and stun sticks

Because it does nothing that stands on its own, City was great because it improved everything Asylum set up, and while I didn’t like Knight that much, the combat and stealth is an improvement from City Origins doesn’t have anything innovative, aside from the story and cutscenes.

You know, the Arkham Games were the first time I ever even thought of superheroes outside of Spiderman (the Sam Rami movies with Toby). And when Arkham Knight came out, people were so disappointed on how the Arkham Knight was Jason Todd, but as a total noob to the mythos, it was perfectly fine to me. Hell, I didn't even know who the fuck Jason Todd was in general, but the game provided the context of him being a former Robin that Joker tortured. I think Arkham Knight really helped that casual audience get to know these characters and established fans of Batman didn't see that because they already know most characters. I didn't know who Red Hood was (outside that he was someone who used guns I guess), never knew the individual names for the Robins (except Tim Drake due to Arkham City), never knew that Oracle was Batgirl and that Joker crippled her (in most canon continuities anyway). I think many fans forgot that it wasn't just for old fans, it was to bring in new ones, and it did that perfectly with people like me. The Batmobile in Knight still sucks though lol. After the first playthrough, that shit is a drag, respectfully.

Though city and Asylum are my favorites. 0:26 we have that in common batman is my favorite superhero of all time because of this series until then I'd watch the shows passively. Knight is still the best from a technical standpoint. The best visual combat, stealth and traversal is the best it's ever been love it or hate it the batmobile is a well crafted vehicle being my view. The game is held back by the lack of bosses. Origins is more arkham city and the enemy types are fantastic the Brutes and martial artist and bossfight. I just love the whole series flaws and all.

I agree that Jason Todd could have been handled better, but I still personally enjoyed his inclusion in the story. You’re just dead wrong about Scarecrow. He was a great villain, and the actor who played him was excellent. I do agree that the Joker blood plotline had some problems, but it didn’t ruin the game. I agree with your last two points. They completely wasted Azrael and Hush, and the Batfamily.

And knight version was just a mental perspective of the Joker from each infected. However, was hoping that Scares crow fear gas affect with titan would had turn you into that what you fear as oppsite to Scraecrow in Animeted sersis season 4 where it remove your fear to being careless. The cloud buster turn may civilians into monsters (mental not physically) across street of Gothams before going with ace facility bomb plan.

Nah the first 50 seconds of this video is nothing but straight BARS. Those games are so perfect. Now the most foundational stuff to my love of heroes is like, Batman Lego, Raimi Spidey, Batman Begins. But I first played Asylum in middle school and these games def deepened my love of Batman and superheroes as a whole. LOVE those games so much. I still got some DC animated movies and classic tv to watch, but Teen Titans, Young Justice, DCAMU films I'm workin through, comic stories, just so much HEEEEAAATTT. 14:45 the story didn't allow for boss fights, in knight bruce is at his peak strength and speed where by the only character who had a chance in combat with him was killer croc's mutated body, if u played the city lockdown game and origins and read some tie in comics you clearly see how batman is slowly surpassing slade and the finale in knight shows the end of their rivalry and batman as the winner. it wasn't surprising to me cuz i was expecting something of that nature due to how their fights kept ending and how strong arkham batman keeps on getting, so in lore no major boss fights are understandable since hes just too strong for anybody but croc and ivy, but on a gameplay view point yeah disappointing still i enjoyed the albert king and killer croc fights but i really hoped for a ras boss fight after reviving him, missed opportunity imo

NGL, AO is my favorite from a gameplay standpoint. 100 to 1 is my favorite challenge map, I loved the new enemy types, and it still had that AC feel. AK had tons of gameplay, but none of it feels as fun as it as addicting as AO is to me.

Yeah I hate to say it being it's not a bad game. But knight was unplayable for me. And it's all cause of that stupid clunky POS not batmobile you have to babysit. It was IMPOSSIBLE to have fun bumping and crashing into shit when I could just get out the stupid thing and travel as batman himself. But the game wouldn't let you. Also was never a fan of the tumbler tank idea. It could be fun if I could use the 89 or tas car but pretty sure you gotta beat the game to do that and that just wasn't happening with me.
