One of the perks of playing anything from this universe is that a) you can never play it 100% correct, due to the million rules and b) breaking or, rather, missing the rules creates even more replayability :P I can't tell you how many times we missed a rule here or there during our Eldritch sessions, or skipped over some step that could have been crucial. But in the end, it doesn't matter, the games are fun, regardless of that. But a good rule of thumb in the Arkham universe is: if you think things are too easy or the stars have aligned in your favour, you are probably doing something wrong :P

I wonder if FFG was leaving the opportunity open for folks to use the Mansions of Madness minis - after all, you could slot those square monster tokens right into the base. Definitely worth trying next time I get to play this at a friend's...

It sure does! I will say I have never missed an activation when I haven't been recording. Much easier to remember when you aren't doing a bunch of other things while playing the game (like recording etc.)

Sorry but I don't really understand what the purpose of selecting the red priority cards is for. You say "I'll choose priority card x" why does it matter? I think I'll stick with MOM2. If I was going to buy another Arkham game I'd have to go with AH the card game. The only reason I haven't is because of the huge expense involved in buying expansions and card packs.

So the priority cards tell us if we use the top or the bottom of the action card. I am choosing priority numbers to decide which part of the card I am activating. That is essentially it. The other thing you do with priority cards is each round you choose one that will be used for your final guess at the end of the game. So you have to be careful which cards you give up each round as those symbols matter! Hope that helps
