@@victortran2962 you are correct. 2D animation is more expensive than 3D animation. example : 2D animation requires 100 animators, while 3D animation only requires 50 animators.

@@ENDMIN_00 yes because 3D use computer model system so it can be reusable in many scenes while in 2D you had to draw every frame manually and almost impossible to reuse any frame. So the longer the product the higher the gap between 2D and 3D

Arknights story is mostly just characters talking with not too many fight scenes so most of it wouldn’t be that hard to animate. This animation pv has only beautiful cinematic scenes in it because there is no dialogue so it needs visuals to get our attention.

@@liuxingyan7788 indeed, tho i still prefer 3d over 2d only to non action scene bcs 1. the wide shot quality in details when zoomed out whether still shot or not is significantly better, how many times have we seen 2d zoomed out wide shot where the characters became indistinguishable in the background or just like mashed up pixel? 2. the kind of shot angle that's possible in 3d is much more than 2d bcs there's not a lot of animator that have the skill to make irregular angle in wide shot to support their imagination. it's possible yes but the hassle is real for the record im not a 2d hater at all but 3d also have many superiority even in non fighting scene compared to 2d

@@Quadrolithium yeah i mean based of, because nian(operator), dusk, ling doesn't resemble nian(beast) at all But if they're actually false dragon which is to say the son of dragon god, then their talent can match(not sure about ling yet), if ling have talent in poetry then it's pretty much confirmed that theyre based of son of dragon, with nian as ya zi, dusk as jiao tu, and ling as xi xi. These r based on wikipedia as im not an expert of chinese culture so they're debatable
