Dang, I did not realize she competes so closely with Surtr even without 100% bind uptime!! I already have her 100% maxed out (excluding pots) and she has become one of my default choices, but now I'm even more excited to use her Really the only pain point is the 55 second cooldown. I pair her with Ptilopsis very often, but the cooldown is still pretty slow

@@FABKlNG that's surprisingly high especially when she's hardwired to suzuran because of synergy, too bad 0 Res pen is still too much of an issue tho. But Logos exist in CN and he pretty much solves that. Her durability is still a problem tho, she's quite fragile for guard standards

Ty for the spotlight on Qiubai. I pulled for her on her original release and have been using her constantly ever since then with no regrets, but I still learned some new nuance from this video and understand a bit more why she flew so hard under the radar for so long.

I impulsively spent a lot of pulls to get Qiubai on release, before I was really mindful of my pulls, as I was just like "oh a cool looking 6*, I should pull" without really considering whether it was a smart choice to pull or not. But I'm so glad I did because she's been such a valuable member of my squad

I dropped like 80+ pulls on her banner and got a dupe Penance T_T I will probably pull on the Joint ops banner that she will be in, because I always get the ops that I want from the Joint Ops. For example: I got GG, Dorothy, Mylnar and some more (forgot which ones)

Well, yeah, makes sense, qiubai and thorns fill two different niches. Thorns had sustainable long term single target dmg with self healing and his anti air sniper range, while qiubai is more of a challenge stage dps with set skill cycles that you have to build you strategy around. She isn‘t as good at generic content lane holding but makes up for it by being great in more difficult stages that don‘t want you to use lane holders. For example, you wouldn‘t use thorns for dos, but qiubai was used for low op clears there

QiuBai is my go to lord guard, and so far she hasn't disappointed me when I need some ez bind procs + arts damage. Am waiting for her and Thorns' module Edit: also stupidly useful for this event

@mr.clevertrick8710 its not even a big difference.. bringing a decel (suzuran or not) to support mod1 qiubai just for THIS miniscule of a difference is not even worth it. like u might as well just not get the module, its nothing cheap. im placing all my hopes on her second module

@@galeria_m It's about a 25% ish dps increase from 3.3k dps to around 4.3k dps on S3 considering full uptimes, she does get that bonus condition, which does muddle the math a bit, but 20-25% dps increases are pretty standard for damage modules. I don't think it's miniscule at all actually haha cuz not even considering the extra condition of bind+slow, and just doing one of them her dps increases by about 600 which is about a 15~% dps increase, which is still not bad

@FABKlNG dont do it.. dont give me hope.... jokes aside, i guess i just kinda prefer using her casually like with any lord guard. you know, behind blockers and stuff, and let her do her thing. I prefer her over SilverAsh because she's generally easier to cycle (even with 55 sp cost) and she does some actually good damage off-skill. As for thorns, im just not a fan of AFK at all, hence why i barely use blaze over gavialter. I just kinda wanted her to be more self-sufficient I guess? I guess this kinda leans to S2 usage. i really like the fact that she does meaningful damage off-skill unlike silverash who's benched for most of the time with his redeployment cooldown. her cycling is still faster even with silverash's module but i felt that it doesnt make up for it enough. Thorns and Silverash got such good modules and all qiubai gets is a mid one? man, that's so unfair.. qiubai is such a good op with such a good potential and hg is just holding back on her...

I feel like you conveniently ignored the biggest issue on "She has more dps than Surtr!" Part wich is her lack of RES ignore. This is the exact same problem Viviana faces and it hurts Quibais potential alot too, espiecelly when the operator is used solo. Yes having a tad bit less dps than Surtr without any support "sounds" good until you rralize that the dps difference increases absurdly as the enemy RES increases, Surtr with Suzuran completely out dps Quibai with Suzuran after enemies reach 50 RES wich all key enemies in the game that you would use a dps operator for on current enemy meta. These issues makes her much more reliant on support and other operators than other damage dealers wich resulted in her low pick rate for IS and other high tier content where her lack of RES ignore becomes even more appearent, she is definitely a stronger case than Viviana but she really doesnt compete with Surtr on arts damage and isnt competitive on that front either. Espiecelly now where arts meta has evolved massively thanks to Logos.

I got QiuBai in one pull (thanks God) on her banner, build her, M3 her S3 on the spot and now my 2 6* guards are her and Irene But now, while using her on this event I saw her talent activating almost every moment she attacks and I think that is because Virtuosa... Qiubai was my first 6* aside from the starter banner one, and as a result I've felt that she's been slept on for a really long time. To this day I don't have Suzu (RIP) but even without, Qiubai has carried me throughout my career. Ngl her module is kinda lukewarm compared to SA and Thorns tho. She makes better use of base effect, but the upgrades for Qiubai could (and imo should) be better than they are

I was blessed to get ling and best brother in 30 pulls got Qiubai in 1 10 pull and got yato in 20 pulls I'm never going to be that lucky ever again and I'm thankful but damn texas Alt never drops its just a curse for me at this point I'm saving for 300 pulls to buy her from the shop 😂

Still cannot compare to surt when sutr have res penetration and good for helidrop, the reason i have mix feeling on Qiubai it is not about comparing with other operators but how good her synergy should n skill up time tho, sorry but my style mostly kind mess, im focus raw dmg n without other support, and she has like crit dmg and i feel its active after she succeed to bind (talent), her s2 has has slowed effect but only 5 sec and offensive style, her s3 giving high atk spd, for more proc of talent, her extra dmg really inconsistent without any help

So interesting to me that Stainless is basically entirely forgotten for support while Warfarin is still hyped up. Okay I get it, Warfarin provides almost the same attack, while also healing and not having to choose between that atk and sp battery role. Not to mention, she doesn't need 3 tiles and in total costs less DP. However, Warfarin has rng-buffing unless you do annoying positioning or have only 1 operator in the lane, this lowkey makes Stainless s1 much easier to use and it does actually make up for all those shortcomings a little bit by providing up to 24% attack even off-skill. I'd actually much rather have Stainless than Warfarin when buffing Logos S1 for example, since the attack increase will improve Logos' death threshold without worrying about skill cycles. + Eyja talent too ofc. Also you can use Stainless turrets on Skalter so that she can give a smaller but still increased attack boost to every operator in her range.

Manticore S1, and Mostima S3 unfortunately don't work because they are labelled as "movement speed reduction" instead of inflicting slow. Earthspirit S2 does work tho! Along with Chaincaster's attacks and anything specifically labelled as "slow"

I didn’t plan on M9’ing Qiubai when I saw her on CN but when she came to Global I did and Don’t Regret it!! I bring her to Every Stage, rarely using S1 but it still has the Occasional Use. I got Suzu only because of Qiubai but Funnily enough I use ReedAlt as Synergy more. Qiubai S3 is Still Really Great even without much help!! Although I still wish her Mod helped her be better on her own, Which it still kinda does. But I would’ve liked the Talent2 buff Increasing Bind Chance and give an added effect when triggering the chance, Similar to how ExecutorAlters Mod buffed his RNG Talent. It’s still Possible I suppose but the 2nd Lord Guard Base Mod is Pretty Bad imo so 1st mod will stay better

I always liked Qiubai's kit and would definitely use her regularly even despite having Thorns and SA, since she's a pretty good CC focused laneholding option, having both DPS and utility that is on par with both Thorns and SA and yet different enough to make her unique. I'd rather have a video on Chongyue since I consider him one of the most boring and useless limited 6*s in the game, I have him E2 with S3 M3 and yet I never actually use him because he kinda sucks.

Qiubai has been one of my faves since she originally dropped: I yeeted a single 10-pull at her banner and lucked out. I also think that one of the main reasons people dismiss her (and a lot of other strong ops just outside the meta) is that they underestimate the utility of S3 beyond just BEEG damage. The fact that she can hit 3 enemies at once at ludicrous speed for quite some time means that she's ideal for deleting large challenging waves of enemies at a safe distance, across multiple lanes. In comparison, Thorns can only hit 1 enemy at the time and Surtr can only hit one lane. Furthermore, she's better at hot-dropping than SA, starting at 45/55 SP at S3M3 (SA is 75/90 at S3M3), so she can in fact be an assassin vs. certain enemies. This is especially useful if you weren't around for Yato and Texas, even though it's certainly not a 1:1 comparison.

I mean I got Qiubai in 11 pulls and she was a very nice replacement to Arene at the time, so she's always been my go to laneholder/lord guard, just mildly annoying that I don't have Suzu and probably won't get her any time soon.

I quite enjoy using Qiubai a lot nowadays. Her S3 simply shreds and has good binding in a pretty solid range on 3 targets. Also my QB is budget, meaning she has S3M2, still works like a charm.

That's the curse of an operator banner between two limited and meta banners XD I have the feeling that she doesn't have as praise as Thorns or SA its the need to have some set up (aka Operators that cause slow or bind) to fully benefit from her talents, that multiple tipes of damage in one attack is mitigated for both tipes of armor and even if she some have a niche with a more CC centered kit with her % of bind, IMHO isn't that prominent because the % its too low. If she were more centered more in CC and less in damage, she would have had a more defined role between the Guard Lords: Thorns for constant pure DPS, Silver Ash for burst with S3 and more tanky role with S2, Lappland as a silence machine and Qiubai as a CC machine with the Slows and Bind. Still, I like her. Her design is great and if one day I open a random bag and a wild Qiubai appears, she wouldn't get benched at lvl 1. She would have some partners to play with (Ines, Suzuran, maybe i will raise Indigo with her module)

I do not regret getting Qiubai instead of Chongyue and Yato alter (though looking back I kinda wish I still tried to get Yato alter). She is able to provide both strong dps and strong support, and her synergies make her even stronger during her skills and still do good damage when offskill relative to how others fare when offskill. She is my most used operator (even after later obtaining both Thorns and SilverAsh), and that won't change anytime soon, especially with her module coming.

I started playing Arknights during her banner got lucky and got her and Yato. I have been using her with Silverash ever since I started all the way till I beat the first Frostnova boss. By then ive been using her less and less as my roster got bigger. This video has put her back on the list of who to build (after im done with Horn) she is E1lvl40 S7 but atleast I got her at max trust +++ I love these types of videos because they give me energy to build more ops that I havent used because they don’t interest me or someone who is lower in my priority list to build.

I was very excited during her announcement because I wanted to pair her up with Boycat and carpet bomb things. What tore me away from that dream was the low proc rate of talent 2 (and >s3 suddenly auto recovery but) They fix that on mod 2 and I will see if I can dream again.

I always use qiubai since her release and her performance on the battle was better than i expected. She even help me during the pinch out when mlynar skill is off, i use her s3 for clearing the wave of enemies
