Arknights speedrunning is a really cool and it would be great to see more run categories added. I'm really excited for when IS2 finally comes out. With the added rng element would be pretty cool seeing how people have to adapt their strategies for each run.

This was my first and last time I tried competition speedrunning. Back then I'd had like 7 subscribers on KZbin and my most recent video was my OD-8 Elite 0 Only clear. I wanted to try this speedrun for LS-3 because it looked like someone who knows how to play E0 well had a chance to win. It took me a few days to get my final best time. And really, when it was beaten by a lot I would have tried to get faster but the problem at that point wasn't my strategies, it was that the people with faster times had faster load times because of their more powerful devices. It didn't even matter that I chose to play on the JP server because of short text. So when I realized I couldn't beat them because of hardware I decided to give up and never try to seriously take speedrunning again. I'll stick to Elite 0 Only clears, I suppose.

Speedrunning usually emits load times from scoring, this being a big reason why

in case someone who doesnt know arknights at all comes here, when Cesith talks about the Annihilation 3 runs, the time counted is seen at the end of the stage as it is included in the end screen, that is the reason why it is possible to pause to get precise timing

Never really thought speedrunning was possible in Arknights until I saw Ucky's 24-second sugar farming. These days I'm seeing speedruns of 999 DP and so on XD It's amazing seeing Doktahs coming up with speedruns

I think having a single team that covers the ENTIRE story the "fastest" would be more interesting. Of course they would be maxed operators. And then you can class them by the total number of stars for operators. So if someone could manage to clear the entire story with only 11 ops, then their star rating may be lower (harder difficulty); but if they used all 6* then a person with 12 ops but mixed in lower rarity would have overall higher star rating etc. So many options could be possible

Maybe use the practice plans and then later lump the total time. I guess it has issues. I guess technically viable "real" speed runs will happen when IS 2 finally hits.

Were having something similar to this with side stories and not a lot of people seem to be interested in long speedruns. Eitherway it would be cool to have something like this or seperate it by acts(1-3,4-8,9-?)

The annihilation 3 speedrun was really fun, I didnt even know Blaze's s3 can kill aerial enemies after playing for almost 2 years lol, but after watching Muazash's run thats when I realized I still have stuffs I still dont know about AK

Speedrunning Arknights was such a great way for me to expand my brain even more and helped me make some really tough decisions that would just close a run just the slightest bit quicker. As of now, I would love to get back into speedrunning because it was generally something that i really enjoyed doing but it takes quite some time. Without all of the promotions you did and watching other speedrunners, that gave me a lot of influence to try it out.

This video made me remember why I tried speedrunning in the first place. I didn't even try those annihilation speedruns because I knew it was impossible for me to get the record but when I found other categories like LS-3 and 1-12 I had fun trying to get on the podium just once, and I made it twice (yay). With the categories Annihilation 4* I want to give it another shot since I have E2'd so much 4* on the last few months. So yeah thanks for this video sir, and I hope we can make arknights speedrun great again.

The only sad part is that AK speedrunning is a very exclusive club. Only some things can be done freely, a lot of it has extreme requirements.

There's a kind of speed run that's 'how fast you can beat Risk 18' in CN community. There's no dedicated leaderboard but it's something people attempts. As far as I know you can beat Risk 18 in 3 days with a fresh account. I mean yeah that would be way too long for a lot of people, just something I thought I'd share because the run was really impressive.
