A little fact the violin represents the character Amiya since in the lore she plays one, this song plays at the climax at the end of the Reunion arc where she not only uses her emotions but those of the others around her.

Very cool, Cathy! Glad you were able to react to this! This is actually Amiya's first theme song (second one is "Succession" from the same album as Ratio Ultima) and the first song is about her finally releasing her power within that she got from her dear friend Theresa and monologing with the souls within to get that power. So this plays during the climax of the first Act of Arknights' story where she's fighting, I sh*t you not, Russian folklore villain, Koshchei The Deathless. The amount of real-life cultural references that Arknights uses both in lore and in gameplay never fails to surprise me. I knew that most of the nations in Terra are essentially mirrored from our Earth, but I had no idea that some of the characters, especially the JACKAS- I mean, Kashchey (or however you spell his 'name'), were also based on folklore. Absolute cinema.

Arknights story is literally 7 chapter prep for chapter 8 to release all the tension and this is the song that plays during the climax (which also makes it heavy spoiler territory), they even link the story reading to the music so everything matches, and it is also the first time they actually animated a story sequence in the game (not CG).

This song is pure shivers every time I hear it, the energy and narrative coming through it is just incredible, Sterling and Laura killed it. And the "battle" between the vocalist and violin is really interesting, because both can be seen as representing the main character you mention. And it fits, this song is absolutely a moment of inner battle while also facing a strong enemy.

I love this song and its integration into the finale of the first arc of the story and the very first in game animation cutscene. It was amazing. AND WE WILL BURN THE CLOUDS AWAY! KEEP OUR DEMONS ALL AT BAY! AND THERE WILL BE AN END SOMEDAY! AND I MUST LEAD THE WAY! Such powerful lyrics imo perfect for Amiya and the end of chapter 8/Arc 1. You nailed the story where Amiya is staring down the opposition and unleashes her unknown power to summon a sword from the past and the present to have 2 powerful weapons vs a powerful opponent. 2 other songs during this ending chapter that are also amazing are Towerfierce and Double Dragons. I think youve heard Towerfierce but idk bout Double dragons. So id recommend checking out Double Dragons.

This is the song that played for Amiya at the final climax of the first act of Arknights' main story. It worked so incredibly well for the moment. It was also accompanied by the game's first short animated cutscene. The lyrics on this one are really relevant to what this moment means and represents for Amiya's character, and the permanent effects it will have on her, and changes it cased in her.

This song is Amiya's big moment in chapter 8, and I'm pretty sure that struggling violin is supposed to be Amiya since she canonically plays the violin in the story All in all one of my favourite songs in Arknights, that climax is incredible

"Path to nowhere" just had their first concert, and you should really check it out. Should be on the "Jiu Jiu subs" youtube channel. One of the vocalists they had was absolutely incredible. So much range over the songs they sang, and their stage presence was top notch; really got into every song they sang. She made some of them sound even better than the originals imo.

What, WCF really wasn't in your reactions up until now? I had a very strong feeling that it was there... *checks* oh. yeah, it really wasn't. Well, I think, now the only one EPIC song from the main story you're missing is Double Dragons, which comes together with this one inside the game, in the same final sequence of Chapter 8. I recommend listening to both the vocal and instrumental versions of that one, to feel that impact. Will wait for your reaction on this one!

10:47 yeah that's pretty much what happens. two characters side by side facing someone whose title is literally "the deathless black snake." this song doesn't quite play in that moment, but it plays in the cutscene just prior to it while back to reacting and analyzing arknights stuff, the hortus de escapismo event boss theme slaps, buuuuuut... day 28 of suggesting "the shadows" by taishi. consider listening to the one specifically marked as "with error" first. afterwards, read the comments under it and the one not marked as with error. more context in day 1. also "思い出かけら" by sweet dove (this has crazy time signatures and i got a whole paragraph about it from the composer, if you ever react to it I'll comment on it below. there are also english lyric translations)
