This is very rural, that likelihood is very low. Not saying it couldn't be but that cub went downhill fast and was around a wealth of food. My educational guess is it was weak from being runt but it got some type of illness on top of it. Bears are smart, fishing line would have been chewed off by cub or mother, bad garbage would have been regurgitated likely, mobile restrictions would likely be noticeable in video. Runt likely had multiple issues besides being small, maybe malnourished, but maybe had a small wound infected, maybe lot of ticks weakened immune system, and potentially a weak desire to live which happens in nature. I would assume it had some illness caused by weakened immune system. All that just suggestions, I would like to know formal autopsy findings

Just wondering if the park service sees these videos live or maybe a few hours later. If so, you would think someone would try to scout (safely) for the sick cub. This one probably suffering from hookworm. Evaluation, treatment and release. We do that in BC with our bears. I know it seems like interfering with nature to rescue a sick cub, but honestly with 8 billion humans on earth now the science is against the bears. I save we save whomever we can whenever we can.

It broke my heart watching this live last week. That night I dreamt I was looking for the cub. After watching this again today, I can't help but wonder if the cub got into garbage or some kind of waste left or created by the people who use those boats? Fuel, fishing line, hooks contents of an ashtray, plastic bages? They had been eating something on the shore near the boats? Like a dog with a bone, my logical mind has taken over from the emotional one, although I'm crying again after watching this death today, so my mind is trying to make sense out of this tragedy. I hope the necropcy will be released and we will know exactly what happened to the baby bear, so we can hopefully clean up that area of anything that could be contaminating the area. I know if it was only that easy. I can hope can't I, that we can hopefully fix the problem. Hopefully it isn't genetic damage from toxins in the salmon from the Pacific Ocean pollution and toxic waste that are present in the Northern and Southern Pacific. Anyway thanks for sharing this video hopefully we get answers. ✌❤🐻🙏 KEH 🇨🇦

katherine hunter / I wonder if he ate something by the boat that was not good for him. I watch the SWFL eagle cam and an eaglet died in the nest bc of eagle mom feeding it a rat that had ingested rat poison. So sad.
@katherinehunter95264 жыл бұрын
@@carolv8450 I have wondered that since I first watched the event happening live. Then I strong believed that the cub had eaten something that the fisherman had dumped out after they left their boat. Because you DO see the eating something by the boat shortly before the Cub started acting ill. I've seen them and other Bears eat stuff off of the ground at that same spot near the boats. I've out with enough fishermen to know they always dump their waste from the day. Some take it home ,some dump it directly into the water again and other dump it on the shore near their boat's. You know out of convenience. So there is a Bunch of crap in their waste. Cigarette butts, wrappings from Lures, fish guts beer cans,bottle tops and old lures and fishing line. NO not all fishermen and women are environmentally conscious so they really DON'T think their actions have any consequences. So my money is on that this cub died from something it ate. I think that is why there is going to NOT be an necropcy on the Cub. Because I think they know what killed it and don't want to cause beef with the locals who fish there daily. Plus they have several hundred random tourists stumping around the bear's habitat. I tried questioning the Mods and Mike and Naomi about it and got Curt responses about it, one of the Mods kind of threatened me with being blocked if I didn't drop my questions about the fisherman and how close they get and the garbage they leave behind. So frankly I don't watch live as much as I once did. Because I think they Whitewashed that Cubs death and a few other incidents and have blocked and insulted other folk's who really questioned what was going on. I watch without the comments on but find that 1/2 the time the camera operator's are either asleep or just aren't paying any attention to what they are watching. Anyway I really do love watching the Bears and all the wildlife and the entire area, watching the sunrise over the lake has been favorite events this summer. Anyway peace, love, health and harmony be with you Carol V. ✌❤🇨🇦🐈

katherine hunter Yes, fishermen are very dangerous to wildlife with leaving fishing line and hooks around. Turtles, birds, and all other wildlife suffer. I see some vids where ppl are trying to help if they see an animal in distress. If that place there wants tourists, they should have the fishermen clean up after themselves. Thanks for the kind words and have a nice day. I pray for the other cubs to be safe.

Humans interfere and change the bears' world, even if slightly through monitoring and tourism. I think humans had a moral responsibility to intervene with this little bear... even if it ended up being placed in a sanctuary. To say we "aren't going to interfere because, it's nature" is wrong, when we have already changed their habitats.
@Audfile4 жыл бұрын
Everything changes habitats. Invasive species, evolution itself. I mean, we didnt just pop out of a spaceship one day and arrive, this is our habitat too, our planet too. We cannot live anywhere else, we are "children of the earth" as much as the bear. Its not our "fault" that we know how to build a Mcdonalds.

@@Audfile I am not debating that "we are children of the earth" too. My point was that with knowledge comes responsibility. I feel like a qualified person, such as a Park Ranger should have intervened on the Cub's behalf once it was obvious the cub was in dire straits.
