I've used an Arlo for years as a trail camera for years. I'm having an issue with the battery charge port so just watched reviews on all the latest trail cameras compare re-evaluate the differences. It may not have the resolution, but I've really liked it's ability to at any time look at live video. That's capability view video and not pictures is just now getting to the newest trail cameras. You're going to pay around $550 for a camera with these features. In addition all the trail camera companies appear to nickle dime you and charge you per picture on the cell plans vs just paying for data. I've gotten very accustomed to being able to see video instead of pictures and also to see live video anytime I want.. For those reasons I'm likely to going to buy another Arlo Go or may even their budget competitor ReoLink a shot. After having video I just can't go back to pictures.

Thanks. Was considering one but obviously won’t work for this application.

Man I use the Arlo go,,works awesome,,I can turn the inferred lights off and it still has night vision that s pretty dam good,,I have a couple 10 second videos on you tube,,they under pTankersley channel,,and another thing I like about it is that you can just turn it on whenever you want to watch a field in the morning,,I have even used the thing to watch a draw 2 or 300 yards up from where I’m at so nothing slips in on me,,it’s awesome,,I would choose this cam over any other

Well I have an arlo go and it may not zoom in on a tick sitting on a deers ear but it does work great for showing you bucks in your area and deer activity and it shows it very clearly.

Thank you for this video. very helpful because I was considering getting this camera for the very purpose of observing wildlife. Like you said it seems like a good surveillance camera and probably not so much a game camera especially for the price

Yep... For game observation, it's hard to beat the Spartan Camera. You can get your own sim card from AT&T (or Verizon) or use the sim card from them and sign up for their service. The interface, at first, seems clunky. But once you figure it out, it's a great device to use and well worth it. I use mine every day to observe the shape of our whitetails and I share the camera with a few buddies who help me make the observations. Good luck...

I agree. I have 3 Arlo go cameras on my ranch and it works great! I don’t think his example footage was on that setting, but looked more like it was on the low def setting. The motion sensor has captured some great footage and allowed me to study their movement throughout the season, learning the patterns. Also, there are three settings on the Arlo go that improve the video quality. It will eat up more battery life but it’s very clear. I pay $75 per month for all three cameras, that all share 10gb worth of memory. Cant beat that!

I use the Arlo ,,works very good,,I usually just take a roll of electric tape with me,,I just wrap that tape around it and a tree limb a few wraps,,holds good through inclement weather too,, the easiest way I have found to the mounting of one,,cause the electric tape has that elasticity effect,,I have a couple videos on you tube,,they are under pTankersley,,,,and it’s just handy,,works so much better than any other cell trail camera that I have tried,,

The Arlo go cameras are junk!!!! Don't waste your money. They go offline all the time. This is the worst camera I have ever owned. I use it as a security camera in my home. I am always having to reboot the camera. Don't waste your money!!!!
