Can you use local storage/external hard drive instead of the cloud storage? I had the previous Arlo system where I didn't have to pay for cloud storage, wondering if it's the same

I got this system and am totally disgusted with it. Can’t even hook it ip because we have a Verizon Orbic mobile router with no ethernet hole. Taking them to the dump
